With temperatures dropping to -5 degrees, the homeless face their toughest winter yet. Yesterday we spotted an unfortunately placed poster above one of Manchester’s most notorious homeless spots, and had to do something about it. TBWA\MCR in partnership with DEPAUL, a charity that supports young homeless people locally and nationally, delivered a reactive poster to remind us to help those not looking forward to chilly winter nights. Big News. Today sees us relaunch as TBWA\MCR, as we continue to increase our investment and expertise in content, data and media. We're taking MCR, the global code for Manchester, as our new name TBWA\MCR, reflecting the pace and ambition of the agency, with our sharp northern inventiveness and disruptive thinking being applied to increased product capabilities and more agile ways of working.
The change to TBWA\MCR will also see us build on our longstanding broadcast advertising heritage and the success achieved with our content production studio Sting Films®, which produces 400 films and animations a year across the agency’s client roster. Watch this space.
