With temperatures dropping to -5 degrees, the homeless face their toughest winter yet. Yesterday we spotted an unfortunately placed poster above one of Manchester’s most notorious homeless spots, and had to do something about it. TBWA\MCR in partnership with DEPAUL, a charity that supports young homeless people locally and nationally, delivered a reactive poster to remind us to help those not looking forward to chilly winter nights. In fact, they're dreading it. Please share, or donate a warm bed for the night here: https://lnkd.in/ep4jWrdP

All season, we've been hammered with ads, offers and deals. And we all definitely need a break.
That’s why we’ve taken our website down, and we'll be filling our Insta feed with relaxing festive titbits, so you can have a true commercial break.
Now, best get to those sprouts.
Tomorrow is a big day for all of us.
And at TBWA\MCR we're already decided.
Meet our new Junior , James Sandom.
James, everyone. Everyone, James.
He's from the south, but uni life in means he's fishing to be an honorary northerner.
He once sung for members of the Royal family, as a chorister, despite having no musical talent.
And when he's not analysing data, he's strategically manoeuvring his way around the city's scene.
Any recommendations for him? 🍴
The next entry into our series is from Disruption Director herself, Lorna Hawtin.
Lorna steps back into the ring to talk about one of the most powerful things you can do to unlock your creative problems.

Lisa Nichols, ECD - “We want this audience to feel like ‘we see them’. In a world where they are all but invisible in marketing terms, they are crying out to be related to. By making the statement, ‘Compliments. You deserve them.’ We are very much saying ‘Ladies, we see you, and by the way, you look bloody good.”

We're taking MCR, the global code for Manchester, as our new name TBWA\MCR, reflecting the pace and ambition of the agency, with our sharp northern inventiveness and disruptive thinking being applied to increased product capabilities and more agile ways of working.
The change to TBWA\MCR will also see us build on our longstanding broadcast advertising heritage and the success achieved with our content production studio Sting Films®, which produces 400 films and animations a year across the agency’s client roster. Watch this space.

MEET TOM HUGHES, COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE.
Born in Wales, living in Wilmslow. You'll usually find Tom with a guitar in his hand - a Fender Telecaster if anyone’s interested. He once bought a car from a dodgy dude on the side of the road, 2 hours later the car blew up. Lesson learnt there. He’s also supported Van Morrison… well, his band played 5 hours before him but ssh.

Just don't ask her to shot tequila, because she might just down the salt by accident. Seriously.
