Yesterday (26th July) saw the return of , and the parade through the city centre. Commissioned by Walk the Plank , we were asked to create a section based on books to celebrate the National Year of Reading. We went down the Fairytale route and created a storybook themed parade section celebrating the power of imagination and adventure through reading. Book characters were brought to life by young performers from AllStageOldham , and Bolton School of Dance 💃 got the crowd going with their energetic dance routines dressed in costumes made from layered book pages. Huge thank you to everyone involved!
