what are we doing here ❔

i love to just gesso any blank boards, papers, canvases, boxes etc. whenever i feel unproductive and down. its helps me feel productive in a way as im prepping something so its ready for when i want to paint a piece.

but its also just relaxing not having to worry about what to do, what it looks like, what colours to use. it’s a break to just squish some paint around listening to music or a book and trying to relax somewhat.

sometimes i start to feel like doing more as im painting like this and in able to just let my brain and body do what they want. give it a try, even if you paint a piece of paper and never use it it might still help you to unwind. 🌻

day 27 of .parade . the prompt is dragonfly. i tried to make it have shiny, glittery wings but digitally it’s difficult to do that. i love dragonflies but i’ve rarely come across them sadly✨
did you know they have nearly full 360 vision and the only things they can’t see is what’s right behind them.

day 24 of .parade . the prompt is bat. never really drawn a bat in a realistic way so this was fun and i’m defo gonna work on it to make it more realistic but i quite liked this look 🦇 bats are so cute to me and did you know bats are very important to us they are great pollinators just like bees and butterflies. tons of plants rely on bats such as bananas, mangoes and avocados. they love to eat all these and tons of insects every night.

day 21 of .parade . the prompt is python. i’ve drawn and painted a few snakes but i still feel overwhelmed by them. i always try and simplify them find different ways to paint them so they still look like snakes. i may work on this more. 🌸
pythons symbolise being a healer and protector. they can make us believe in our instincts and find our strength and be able to adapt and change.

day 20 of .parade . the prompt is spine. my spine causes me a lot of pain and sometimes i wish i could just rip it out of me and be done with it. every day it plays up and this is relatable for sooo many people sadly. so i’m sorry if you are a sufferer too. 🛏️always wanna be lay down

day 18 of .parade . the prompt is frog. love frogs. they’re so cute and i love painting them. i had tons of ideas for this prompt so hopefully i do make more art with frogs🐸
people believe frogs are healing. their croaks are the lullabies in nature and they are there to calm you and bring peace. frogs also represent letting go of the negativity in our life and letting go of any baggage, emotional and physical.

day 10 of .parade . the prompt is vessel. this is baby me not yet got a face or colour i am a vessel and starting to gain a soul. i was a vessel ready to be made up by many things🧸

day 6 of . the prompt is jackal and again i’ve never drawn one before. i’ve drawn quite a few dogs though so it wasn’t much different🐾
they’ve been called cowardly but really they are just crafty. they are very elusive and stealthy as they have to be if they want to catch prey as they are small and slender compared to other predators.
