For as long as i can remember this shop was Bon Fabrics - a place I visited many, many times, and created all manner of things with their fabrics (clothes, stuffed toys & covid face masks to name a few).
When Yvonne told me the shop was closing I was gutted - I used to love chatting with the 3 women who ran the shop - but I knew they were closing for good reasons.
I waited patiently while the refurb was going on, hoping they wouldn't strip the character from the building and wondering what the shop would become (hoping not another nail bar, hair-dressers or tutoring place). I was delighted when I heard it would be paint a pot (something Em and I have been hoping for in Urmston for a long while) and when I popped in recently to make a booking I was delighted to see what a lovely job the new owner has Made of the place. The decor is gorgeous (black & white, with painted accessories & sample pots adding the colour) and the woman who owns the business is lovely and living her dream. Looking forward to painting something colourful there very soon.
