🎉 Celebrating 10 Years of MMY Apprentices!!! 🎉

Can you believe it is 10 years since we first started our young training group - ‘Apprentices’? So many talented youngsters have made their journeys through this group and then on to the ‘Main Stage’ cast, refining their skills and demonstrating the MMY way. So many incredible memories. Happy Birthday ‘MMY APPRENTICES’.

🍾 GOOD LUCK AMELIE 🍾

Amélie joined MMY training classes in 2019 and became a full member just in time for Calamity Jane and then lockdown! She played a huge role in our online lockdown musical ‘Medusa’ and went on to have principal roles in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Frozen Jr and Les Miserables. Amélie’s portrayal of Erma in Anything Goes brought the house down every night and we are so proud that she is now following her dream at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. As well as performing at Z-arts Amélie also joined the MMY cast at the Minack theatre, performing alongside the British Theatre Academy in their production of ’13’, and more recently Amélie joined the MMY staff to deliver workshops during Shannon’s maternity leave. What an incredibly talented young lady! We wish you all the very best Amélie - go and shine like the star you are.

🍾 GOOD LUCK MAX

Max joined Manchester Music Youth in 2016. He quickly became a very popular cast member, always larger than life with an infectious sense of humour. Max took many principal roles, including Chitterlow in Half a Sixpence and Pugsley In The Addams Family, but probably what he is best remembered for was his amazing portrayal of Fagin in Oliver! Max grew up at MMY, and as soon as he was too old for the youth group he joined the MMY Grads group where he performed for many years. We are so very proud of Max’s determination and are thrilled he has gained a place at Mountview on the MASTERS course, such a prestigious drama college. Good luck Max!
