Another single take (abridged) version of one of my favourite songs. Again, no audio jiggery-pokery (does compression/reverb count?) or sneaky edits. One performance, warts and all.

As much as being the centre of attention can be a thrill for me, it’s equally lovely to be plonked in a corner, left to my own devices, providing the soundtrack to the proceedings of the day.

No edits, no AI, no surreptitious beautify. A soup to nuts solo performance of Seventeen Going Under, far from flawless but absolutely how I sound in the room with you.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with performing but when I think I’m doing a good job, there’s no feeling that compares.

The Gibson J185 I’m playing has been my trusted main gigging companion for over a decade now. We’ve been through thick and thin together, and I’d struggle to find a more comfortable (and comforting) guitar. A few scars to prove it.
