What a difference 🤯
5 years ago today, Edison’s opened its doors for the very first time.
What started as “wouldn’t it be cool to open a bar?” somehow turned into buying a building, getting planning permission, completing a full fit-out and eventually opening the doors in 2021 — with absolutely no experience in running a bar 😂
Looking back, it’s something we’re incredibly proud of.
Fast forward to January 2026 and, apparently not ones to make life easy for ourselves, we decided to rip it all out and start again.
It probably seemed a bit crazy, especially in the current climate, but Edison’s still wasn’t quite the bar we’d always pictured it becoming. We knew we could take it another step further.
Three months of hard graft, a few injuries, plenty of arguments and far too much money later… we got there 😂
And we genuinely couldn’t be happier with how it turned out ❤️
Most importantly, a massive thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors over the last five years.
Seeing the friendships, celebrations, nights out, dates, birthdays and probably a few questionable decisions that have happened here is what makes it all worthwhile.
We’ll keep doing everything we can to make Edison’s better and bring something great to the high street we all love.
