Behind the Scenes: The Christmas Time Machine 🛠️

Ever wondered how the magic gets made? We caught up with Duggie from Dundas Studio to see how they've been creating the Time Machine portal for our Northern Lights Manchester trail!

You might remember Duggie's work from last year, when Dundas Studio built our giant Record Archway to welcome guests to the trail. This year, they're crafting something even more special, a truly unique time portal that will be the very first installation you step through on your visit 🤖

Watch as Duggie and the team take you through the process, from first sketch to finished portal. It's a proper labour of love, built entirely by hand with imagination to spare ✨

Northern Lights Manchester is proud to work with local artists and studios to bring the trail to life. No AI, no shortcuts, just real people creating real magic for you to enjoy this Christmas 💚

✨ SNEAK PEEK ALERT 👀

Introducing ... Nutcracker Salute 🫡 Stand to attention beside a battalion of giant nutcrackers (some real, some suspiciously gnome shaped) then get your body moving as playful commands light up underfoot. Hop, twirl, skip, jump, repeat! 💃

Our artists have been grafting away to make some incredible, brand new elements for this year's trail, which is all centred around the nostalgia of Christmas 🎄

Don't forget - we've got 10% off all tickets until 30th Sept with the code LIGHTS10 💫
