Retail Gallery in the heart of West Didsbury
Join us tomorrow evening (Friday 26th) to celebrate the launch of a new guest exhibition; ‘Coming Home’, featuring works centered around British-based artists who have been displaced from their original homelands.
The exhibition will run in our downstairs space until Friday 2nd August, and has been specially curated by Manchester based arts organisation . Tomorrow’s preview evening takes place between 5-8 PM, and drinks and refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there!
New original paintings from Manchester based painter Matthew Thompson, whose wonderfully expressive works will be familiar to many reading this. As well as late Irish based painter Lawrie Williamson NDD. FRSA. RBSA. MAFA, a contemporary master of traditional Oil painting. We’ll be open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday this week, why not pop into the gallery and see these recent additions for yourself?
An enormous thank you to the wonderfully talented .mcgillivray for giving our gallery shutters a makeover this week! We’re absolutely thrilled with the results, and will be open this weekend from Friday to Sunday between 11-5 PM, if you want to come and see in person.

As the year rolls in to June, we’re absolutely delighted to announce that we’re now offering a mounting & framing service at the Next Door Gallery! We have spent the last few months sourcing a range of high quality, affordable & decor friendly framing options (examples pictured here), to sit alongside industry-standard, archival quality, mounting presentations. So whether you’re keen to frame up some much-loved memorabilia, new original artwork or limited edition prints, we have the solution on hand to suit your needs. A service to stretch canvases is also available.

This week we visited the studio of painter Pamela McTurk to collect works from her new collection, ‘Longing for the National Gallery’. Still painting into her eighties, Pam works from a home studio in Leicestershire in the company of her dog Ella, creating these vital, compelling & contemporary artworks. Hi everyone, I’m pleased to say that The Gallery Next Door is now back open on Burton Road!
We’ve teamed up with local publishers Cheshire Art Agencies, to curate a selection of their artist’s works for a pop-up event over the next month, with the gallery now open on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.
