Rugrats are the same kind of rats right?

Been on a bit of a painting spree recently and getting lots of work done, whilst on a paint and chat with my discord last night, I decided to paint something for myself and picked up this Grey Seer that’s been sat on my desk staring at me.

I’ve wanted to paint it since I saw it announced and am chuffed at how it’s come out. Yes there’s probably more I can do, but for one session, I’m pretty chuffed!

Hello hello hellooooo, deep in the dark pits on .minies mind is this absolute Queen, the Daemon Matriarch, and centrepiece of the Daemon Damzels 2 Kickstarter.

So much sass, character and details, and bringing it all together was a lot of fun and incredibly rewarding, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did painting it.

Go over to .minies and give him some support, he’s a damned good egg!

Goodness Gracious, Great Flamin’ Minotaurs! Nailed it…

As part of grand final competition , we were given a choice of four models to paint up. Having recently got really back into God of War, I was immediately drawn to Theron the Vicious as his sculpt reminded me of one of the trolls. After the algorithm dropped some of videos in front of me, I was inspired to try and recreate one of his lava scenes.

Thank you to .official and for putting together a great competition, to and everyone who offered advice of areas I was missing or could refine, I’m overjoyed with how this piece has come out, and hope you enjoy it too!

Happy New Year Everyone! As 2026 begins, I’m excited to share my new logo - expertly crafted by the phenomenally talented , a fantastic artist, fellow improviser and friend!

Do give him a follow, his work is brilliant, whimsical and will no doubt make you smile 😊

In the meantime please welcome back to the logo stand, Typhon, my very first DnD character, a black Dragonborn champion with a mysterious past! (I know, inspiring choice for a backstory)

I look forward to whatever 2026 has to bring us all, and hope you are too!

on the last night of 2025?! Charlie you absolute maverick!

Here are simply a handful of some of the fantastic projects I’ve been able to do this last year, couple of wips in there but really, it’s less about the painting, and more about the experience of this last year.

I’ve been to some fantastic workshops run by and was taught by some phenomenal tutors, .man.painting.miniatures all wonderful people, and thank you so much for the opportunity to learn with you.

To Manchester and all the fantastic opportunities I’ve had there, teaching my very own painting workshops, running improv classes with as well as the chance to perform with them, thank you to the truly brilliant people at what is now our local haunt who let me and a wonderful group of like minded nerds turn up every Sunday to host our weekly painting social, undertaking the second year of a degree, a marathon (YES) in April, volunteering, commissions, working, it has been a truly wonderful year and I couldn’t have done it without the support of my friends and wonderful partner whose patience, generosity, kindness and wit truly know no bounds, thank you so much for everything you do for me Naomi, I can’t wait to see what 2026 brings us all, Happy New Year everybody!

Here’s Santa if you’ve been naughty this year… 😈🎅

Hope everyone is having a great festive season so far, with Christmas just on our doorstep I’ve been finishing up this model from as part of their fourth quarter final and had an absolute blast, learning an awful lot about lighting and colour in the process.

I’m looking forward to seeing what the other entries are, and thank you to .official and for putting this altogether.

With the MPO 2025 deadline looming over me I decided to come back to my “Call of the Ring” piece inspired by original mtg artwork. I honestly love this piece, originally pushed to do this after .man.painting.miniatures workshop earlier this year and jumping back into it with fresh eyes after a few months was a delight!

Thank you to for the guidance and pointers of where to push this, I’m overjoyed at how it looks now, fingers crossed the judges enjoy it too!

Have I got something to show you today! I’ve had this fantastic Demogorgon model from sat on my shelf for what must be years, never really feeling like I could do it justice and waiting for the right time to paint it, the fact that it has survived two house moves completely unscathed in that time is frankly astounding.

When I saw that ArchVillain was running a contest this year I thought, that’s what I’m going to paint, did I leave painting it until two days before the final deadline? Yup… But did those stress inducing hours produce something worthwhile, oh I definitely think so, and I hope you’ll agree with me! I had so much fun with this, playing with lighting, story, and just generally wanting to make the biggest, nastiest demon for any unfortunate adventurers sorry enough to come across its path!

I’ll be entering this Demogorgon into the category, I can’t wait to see the other entries and best of luck all who have entered!

Bit late this one, a small entry I threw together incredibly last minute for a competition over at patreon back in July. Silco was a brilliant character, and I hope to be able to revisit the bust version of him I also have printed out soon, we shall see!

Due to a printing error he sadly didn’t lean on the bench as he was meant to, but we do what we can, I was very happy with the chance to paint on some of Jinx’s graffiti as well as play with the neon light effect, what do you think?

Another great time running my second workshop, this time learning to paint faces! Thank you to the students who trusted me with their time and attention, some absolutely fantastic work on show, and I look forward to seeing what they come up with in the future!

Thank you as well to for creating the brilliant face panels for us to practice on, for the amazing paints and palettes for us to use, and to for the great space for us to practice in!
