We’re absolutely heartbroken. Jack was a true gentleman and will be missed dearly by all of us here at the mort arms. Rest in peace, Jack 💔
It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of a truly cherished pillar of our local community and a proud veteran, Mr Jack Robinson.
Jack was a remarkably dedicated gentleman whose unwavering community spirit brought immense warmth, joy, and unity to our town.
We owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for his distinguished service to our country in the Royal Navy, a commitment to duty that he carried with him throughout his entire life.
Upon returning to civilian life, Jack continued to serve those who served. His leadership, dedication, and vital contributions within the Royal British Legion Tyldesley Branch ensured that our local veterans were supported and that the sacrifices of our armed forces were never forgotten.
A highly respected figure, Jack also served our town with great pride in our annual traditions—most memorably when he accepted my invitation to cut the ribbon and officially open the Tyldesley Carnival. His willingness to step forward for the betterment of the local area exemplified the very best of "The Bongs."
Jack’s loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him. However, his legacy of service, kindness, and pride in both his country and our town will live on.
On behalf of the residents of Tyldesley and Mosley Common, I offer my deepest, most heartfelt condolences to Jack’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Rest in Peace, Jack. Stand easy, Sailor. Your duty is done.
