Ryedale Youth Theatre This company continues to attract a wealth of talented young members age 8 – 18 and has become one

Ryedale Youth was formed in 1991 by Angela Kirkham and Jennie Henry in memory of Mrs June Veysey, whose dream was to create a local youth theatre. The company is now led by its Artistic Director and Choreographer Chloe Shipley alongside Lauren Hood and Musical Director Rachael Clarke. Auditions for the annual Easter production take place in October and the 70 acting members meet for rehearsals eve

Ryedale Youth Theatre encourages its members to learn about all aspects of theatrical production, with older members involved in the production as assistant directors, choreographers, stage managers and assisting with sound and lighting, props and scenery painting etc. Many of our ex-members have gone on to work successfully in professional theatre, TV and film. Summer school parents!!

On Thursday, we will be holding a showcase of the work the children have been working on over the past three days.

There will be two performances:

• 2:00pm
• 3:15pm

There are 100 tickets available for each performance, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis tomorrow morning registration.

Please let us know tomorrow morning which performance you would like to attend and how many tickets you require.

Each child is entitled to 2 free tickets. Additional tickets are available for £3 each.

Please note that, due to the venue’s capacity, every person attending counts as one ticket, including toddlers or children sitting on a parent/carer’s lap.
