A brilliant couple of launch events yesterday at in Malmesbury for the Light in Nature exhibition.

Fernweh, 30cm x 30cm mixed media on board.

This one will be varnished and framed before coming with me to the Flying Monk Art Trail next weekend.

The word Fernweh is described as a longing for distant places or a desire to travel, perhaps to places you’ve never been. The opposite of homesickness. Seems to fit this painting in my mind.

💫 N E W W O R K

Rise I, 30cm x 30cm mixed media on board, framed.

Inspired by an absolute love of countryside and coastal walking, I have produced a series of mixed media pieces exploring this.

Rise I is the first, and will be available to view and purchase at the upcoming in Malmesbury (Wiltshire) 21-22 September.

This portrait of Northern Inuit Bodhi was finished back in the sunny summer days of August! But it remained firmly under wraps until Christmas as it was a surprise gift.

Bodhi’s owners loved the portrait and the level of detail captured.

From my point of view he’s a very handsome dog and I really enjoyed drawing him 🤍

A very sweet but shy girl, it was tricky getting suitable photos of her to work from at first, but we got there and this is the result. 😊

I’ve framed the drawing in a very simple barewood frame which I think really works well.
