I didn’t manage to keep posting daily during the last few days of the residency, and now, going through all the photos, those two amazing weeks are coming back to me all over again.
A huge thank you to Hospitalfield for creating such a wonderful space to work, think, experiment, and spend time with people who honestly became one of the best groups I’ve ever had the chance to share this kind of experience with.
Thank you Rahel, Lucy, Emma, Carolyn, and all the other members and volunteers of the Hospitalfield team who made our time there so special. And thank you Mark and Hugo for all the amazing food, which successfully destroyed the results of the six weeks of dieting I had done before coming there. :)
I also feel incredibly lucky that I got to share this residency with such a brilliant group of artists. Getting to know you, your work, your ideas, and spending these two weeks together was genuinely such a pleasure: Leon Clowes , Christo Allegra , Fiona, mathias arrignon 天凯 , Molly , Eleanor Capstick , Aya Nadera Zantout • آية نادرة زنتوت and Aqsa. ❤️

Photo 5 is from Florence’s wonderful performance, which I was very lucky to experience while I was there.
And somewhere in between all of this, "The Coveration of Eve" moved forward too. I arrived at Hospitalfield thinking about leaving as a choice, what it might mean for a body to refuse the role or image it has been given and choose not to remain. Over the two weeks, that question moved through frames, thresholds and visibility, and eventually led me somewhere I hadn’t quite expected: to what remains after the body has left, and who gets to tell its story.
There is still a lot to follow from here. ❤️
