This beautiful drawing is by a pupil in S2 who thinks he can’t draw. Everyone can draw. It’s like any other skill. It needs time, patience and perseverance. He won’t want me to say his name but I’m sure he wouldn’t mind any likes or nice comments.

⭐ Class of 2025⭐️

They went from 15 to 8. It is so special getting to see pupils come in as wee P7s and leave as young adults. This year group are EXTREMELY memorable for a variety of reasons 😆 but you can’t help but smile when you think of this group. They are a mixture of sporty, arty, musical, hard-working, kind, helpful and entertaining pupils who loved to have a laugh and got on well as a group despite being completely different from each other.

Well done to Lee, Ashton, Iain, Ellie, Emma, Leah, Callum and Finn for surviving to the end and we hope to see Chloe, Finn, George, Autumn, Scott and Greg at the prom. We wish you all the best on whatever you do next. Don’t be strangers ❤️ you were a cracking year group!

Also, a wee special mention to the S5 pupils moving on too. I won’t mention names because you might change your mind and come back for S6 🫠 We’ll miss you too!

We had an amazing lesson from medical students who were talking about how helpful it is to have sound fine motor skills when practicing medicine. Pupils had a go at sewing up a wound, did some anatomical drawing and used Mehndi cones. A big thank you to Fatimah and Erin ❤️

I have had the privilege to know these three amazing girls since they were in S1 and they are all about to fly the Mallaig High School nest. Hannah is off to study Interior and Spatial Design at Napier University, Corra is off to study Creative Industries at the University of Glasgow and Iona is off to the University of Edinburgh to study Fine Art at Edinburgh College of Art. Iona sat her Nat 5 in S3 and all three sat their Higher qualification in S4. They are all very talented pupils. It was a delight to have them in the department for Advanced Higher this past year. I will miss them a lot but they have passed on their AH batons to another three great girls-Poppy, Kirsty and Megan. They are all absolute smashers and I’m very excited for their new adventures after the summer holidays. Hannah, Corra and Iona - you will be greatly missed! Wishing you all the very best 🥳👩‍🎓🥳
