Gap fillers are always fun ones to do as you have to activate some deep inner brain power to figure what would suit that spot/gap the best. Now Jack came in on the fence about what he wanted. He was leaning towards skulls so that’s exactly what we went with but I had to put my take into it and instead of high contrast we went for a more realism style with the skin break through the skulls eyes to continue the same flow as the snake skin tattoo that was previously done by another artist.

I think you don’t have to be religious at all to get crosses, st Michael’s or any religious esque tattoos in that case. This theme has been around for many years and doesn’t seem to be going ANYWHERE so I’ll always say to my clients, this is a great choice if you’re on the fence about it getting tattooed on your skin for life.

Creating gap fillers that look like they have intention and not just something put there because it “fits”. My client Jack previously got the snakeskin tattoo from another artist and then contacted me to finish off the rest of his outer forearm and begin turning this large peice of flesh in a piece of artwork 🖼️
