We’re still unpacking (literally and musically!) from an incredible half term of music making 🎶.

Orchestra ONE and Junior Come & Sing brought together young musicians to create, collaborate, and perform—check out just a few highlights from the week! The soundtrack? That’s O1 in rehearsal, playing brand-new music they wrote themselves, inspired by the theme 'Around the World'! And don't forget the real heroes of holiday courses - course dogs Humphrey and Wellington.

Music Centres and lessons are back next week, but for now—enjoy!

This half term has been filled with incredible music-making! 🎶

✨ Junior Come & Sing saw young voices coming together for two joyful days of music, with performances at the end of each day.

🌍 Orchestra ONE: Around the World is in full swing, with nearly 30 musicians—guitars, vocals, strings, brass, woodwind, keyboards, and drums—creating brand-new music together. The big performance is tomorrow, and we can’t wait to hear what they’ve come up with!

(Musical) love is…

…always having a spare reed (or stick, or pick) when a friend forgets 🫶
…the shared look when you nail THAT section 😍..making sure you empty the water key 💅
…sticking around to stack the chairs and music stands 💪
…bringing pencils AND erasers (we all make mistakes) ❤️‍🔥..not making eye contact when someone misses a note 👀
…turning pages for your partner at just the right time 💌..forgiving your bandmate when they come in too early 💕
…not speeding up (even when it’s exciting) 💐
…helping a beginner without making them feel like one 🤗
…how amazing it feels to make music🌹

This term, group leader Niall is bringing a jazz-inspired focus, introducing 12-bar blues improvisation for anyone who wants to explore, experiment, or just jam along.
