Two dynamic duos kick us off at Craft Brewed, with the Chair-men of the Bored using your strange and silly suggestions to build the next big sitcom, and the No Name Nomads telling timeless tales about your treasured objects, made entirely on the spot!

Maidstone's own County Town Improv players get stuck into a super selection of short-form games. With Maidstone Museum as the backdrop, it's sure to be a historic night!

Chase away the back-to-school blues with two hours of wonderfully creative chaos for children- no scripts, just pure improvised fun. All coaches are fully DBS-checked and experienced improv teachers.

A four-hour deep dive into the art of improvisation, with two two-hour courses led by a pair of professional improv coaches with impeccable pedigree: Olivier Award winner Lucy Trodd (Showstopper!) and Seamus Allen (Austentatious)!

Our Festival Headline show featuring a double bill of two renowned improv companies. Guided by the audience's music choices, The Two McClanes will create a beautiful, physical, hilarious one act comedy play, while Folkestone Improv Theatre bring the FIT Improv show to Maidstone for a night of dramatic made-up mayhem!

Saturday 19th (9:30pm): Improv Chutney!

Our free post-show session takes place at Craft Brewed: it's like a jam, but with attitude! Try your hand onstage alongside workshop attendees and festival performers in a relaxed, chilled environment. No ticket needed, just come on down!

KIDS IMPROV WORKSHOP
Back by popular demand, our kids improv workshop returns to the Maidstone Improv Festival — and if last year was anything to go by, it’s going to be an absolute joy. Over two hours, children will be guided through the wonderful, laugh-filled world of improvised performance. Working together as a group, they’ll play games, create characters, and build scenes entirely on the spot — no scripts, no lines to learn, just pure spontaneous creativity and plenty of laughter along the way.

PRO IMPROV WORKSHOP
This is the one for the grown-ups — a full four-hour deep dive into the art of improvisation, led by two of the most exciting coaches in the UK improv scene.
The afternoon is split into two two-hour sessions running simultaneously. You’ll spend the first half with one coach, exploring their unique approach to improv, before swapping over at 3pm to work with the other. Two completely different perspectives, two distinct styles, one afternoon — it’s essentially two
workshops for the price of one.

IMPROVAGANZA!
The Maidstone Improv Festival’s headline evening event is back — and this year we’re going bigger. Improvaganza brings together two outstanding professional improv companies for a night of live, unscripted comedy that you genuinely cannot see anywhere else. No scripts. No rehearsed punchlines. No safety net. Just brilliant performers, your suggestions, and whatever magic happens in between.
