Today is National Cinema Day! 🍿🎬 At PQA, our Film & TV classes give students the opportunity to explore all the exciting sides of filmmaking.

From developing ideas and creating stories to using real industry equipment and learning how to bring their films to life, our students get hands-on experience every step of the way.

And what could be better than seeing your hard work on the big screen? 🌟
Our students get to walk the red carpet and premiere their very own films! 🎥🎞️ Even better, all of the amazing films created by our students can be showcased on our very own online platform, PQATV!

🎬 BEHIND THE SCENES 🎬

Inspired by the PQA F&TV Summer Film Challenge “Dear Future Self” our entire AM Academy have come together to create an inspirational letter of hope written to their future selves.

In their letters some reflected on the qualities they want to develop, some celebrated the connections they value most and others dreamed boldly about their ambitions. What was particularly moving was their hope for the world - for a kinder planet, cleaner oceans, thriving wildlife, greener cities and a future where compassion leads the way.

An inspiring weekend for Principal Liz and Vice Principal Charlotte who headed to Nottingham for the annual PQA Conference. A jam packed day full of workshops and connection with many of the WONDERFUL Principals and team that make up the PQA family.

It was an especially meaningful moment for Principal Liz, who was honoured with a Special Recognition Award celebrating her remarkable tenure. For 16 years Liz has been creating countless opportunities for young people to explore, grow and shine through their creativity. Well Done Liz - a legacy truly worth celebrating 👏🙌✨🎉

This was a tough one as we said goodbye to the BELOVED PQA Maidenhead student Lila 🩷

Lila has been with us since Poppets and in her time approaches every project with her infectious enthusiasm that makes her a ✨DELIGHT✨ to work with.

She will be sorely missed but we know she’s destined for incredible things whatever she sets her mind to 🩷 Go get ’em Lila! 🩷
