Norden Farm Centre for the Arts is a charity (registered charity number 1013555). We are in Maidenhead (in Berkshire – not to be confused with Maidstone in Kent!) – just outside the town centre (near St Edmund Campion and Altwood schools). The Farm is run by a small team of full time and part time staff, supported by over 200 volunteers. Our name comes from the fact that we are built on the site o

f an old dairy farm – we still have the 18th century farmhouse and barns to prove it – although these now house office and entertainment spaces, not animals! Here is our official blurb:

Prepare for a powerful blend of traditional folk and contemporary sounds as Rachael McShane & The Cartographers join us in the Studio on Sat 3 Oct.

A renowned folk singer, cellist, fiddle and viola player, Rachael gained fame as an original member of the award-winning folk big band Bellowhead. The Cartographers feature the exceptional talents of guitarist Ian Stephenson (Kan, Baltic Crossing) and melodeon player Julian Sutton (Kathryn Tickell, Sting).

🎨Uncensored and Unfiltered: Painting the Female Form

Completely beginner-friendly - most people who come along to these workshops haven’t touched a paintbrush in years.

Rather than a traditional paint-along where everyone creates exactly the same painting, Lauren will teach you different techniques for capturing the female form, working with shape, colour and expressive mark-making, while giving you the freedom to choose your own reference and create something completely individual.

It’s a really relaxed, welcoming evening and a chance to switch off for a few hours, meet some lovely like-minded people and try something creative.

The Oh La La! Quartet bring Paris to Norden Farm this week with a charming mix of Parisian folk music (musette), French chanson, 1950s smooth jazz and more. Here's a clip from their last visit to our Studio!

The dulcet tones of Parisian born Fifi la Mer's voice and the evocative sound of her accordion blended with the talents of Oliver Wilby on clarinet will take you straight back to that little café by the Eiffel Tower.
