Norden Farm Centre for the Arts is a charity (registered charity number 1013555). We are in Maidenhead (in Berkshire – not to be confused with Maidstone in Kent!) – just outside the town centre (near St Edmund Campion and Altwood schools). The Farm is run by a small team of full time and part time staff, supported by over 200 volunteers. Our name comes from the fact that we are built on the site o

f an old dairy farm – we still have the 18th century farmhouse and barns to prove it – although these now house office and entertainment spaces, not animals! Here is our official blurb:

The Monks of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery return to the UK this summer with the ‘Power of Peace’ tour, offering a unique opportunity to engage with authentic Tibetan Buddhist culture, from the creation of intricate Peace Mandalas, made from millions of grains of coloured sand, to ritual Cham dance, prayer ceremonies and meditation.

Tour dates include special screenings of ‘The Epic of Everest’ - Captain John Noel’s historic film documenting the 1924 Mount Everest expedition and some of the earliest moving images from Tibet, The Place Theatre Frome Festival Norden Farm Centre for the Arts Regent Street Cinema The Flavel Arts Centre and The Hyde Park Picture House, with the Tashi Lhunpo Monks recreating the original live prologue to the film as first staged over a century ago.

Whether attending a festival, theatre, or spiritual centre, the tour events invite reflection, connection, and a deeper sense of peace.
