I am so truly grateful to everyone who has booked back in— thank you so much for your continued support 💛

As a result, spaces across classes are very limited.

To help accommodate those on the waiting list for classes, I’m delighted to release an additional:

Little Musical Wings class at 12:15pm 🎶 on Fridays.

Medals and certificates all around at our first year at the Derry Feis! ✨

I am so incredibly proud of my Musical Wings Singing Stars — they all did amazingly well 🤩

What an achievement to step onto the stage, learn songs from scratch, work with a new accompanist, and perform from the heart in front of an audience and adjudicators. Just amazing.

A special well done to:
🥈 Marie-Clár – 2nd place (English Song P2)
🥉 Daithí – 3rd place (English Song P2)
🥉 Saoirse – 3rd place (English Song P1)

🎶Turning ordinary moments into music🎶

There is no denying I tend to use song for everything with my boys. 🤣 Transitions, cleaning, getting dressed… and especially cooking.

Today we were chopping carrots and, naturally, it turned into a carrot-chopping song. It was far from polished or even perfectly in tune- it was impromptu and random lol —but it was our wee musical moment 🥕🎶

When we create songs with our toddlers during everyday activities:

🎶 Language grows – They hear new words, rhythm, and rhyme in a playful way.
🥕 Participation increases – Music makes them more engaged and excited to help.
🧠 Memory strengthens – Songs help routines and skills stick
💛 Connection deepens – Shared laughter and creativity build strong emotional bonds.
✨ Confidence grows – Their ideas and their little voice matters.

Sometimes the special memories and learning come from a silly little song about chopping carrots with strawberry stained jammies and the kettle boiling accompaniment 🤣🙈🥰

Christmas Pop Ups are in Magherafelt Parish Centre on Thursday 18th Dec and Monday 22nd December and there are classes for babies, little ones up to age 5, and children with additional needs.
