🪏 TRACK MAINTENANCE weekend getting the track tip top for the Welsh Championships! 👌🏼🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

🚧 This coming Saturday (17 October) we’ll be putting in a shift throughout the day at the track from 9:00am, and then if needed on Sunday after the Open Track session from 1:00pm 🚦🧨⚒️🏁

⚒️ Be great to see as many volunteers as can make it, anyone is welcome to help out, give an hour or give a couple of hours, it all makes a difference and the work load lighter and quicker! 🏁⚒️🏁💣🏁🚧🏁

⏰Getting the track finalised and race ready for our big race day hosting the 2026 Welsh Championships on Sunday25 October with an action packed weekend. 🧨🚦🏁

Work to be done:
▪️weeding the track here and there
▪️sweeping track surface
▪️freshening up rollers & jumps
▪️roller & whacking fresh dust
▪️blower on the berms
▪️some new tarmac on places
▪️improving hard standing areas
▪️mowing and strimming the grass
▪️litter picking
▪️maintenance of bikes
▪️lick of paint here and there
▪️any other small jobs
▪️plenty of tarting up the surrounding facility

😮‍💨 some hard graft but a good laugh with everyone (free hot/cold drinks and treats for all volunteers to keep you going) 😀

🪏We’ll also be at the track on weekdays from 9:30am leading up to the regional race to do groundworks/maintenance, if anyone is free for an hour or more to help out give us a shout! ✊🏼

🎩 🥾 weather looking good, bring a bucket hat and suncream ☀️ or if we’re unlucky it’ll be wellies and coat 🌧️

☠️ no sliders or crocs for footwear

Just use easyfundraising.org.uk! ✊🏼 We’ve set up an account with them, and if you link though it every time you shop the club gets donations, it’s really simple.

A number of sports clubs already use this site and it has been brilliant for them.

🏁 YOUR FIRST WELSH CHAMPIONSHIP RACE?

Racing in the Welsh BMX Racing Championship at Llynfi BMX Racing Club on 25 October? 🚲🏆

Any rider can enter - beginner, intermediate or seasoned rider.

If this is your first Welsh Championship race, don’t worry - it can seem a bit daunting, but we’re here to help!

Here’s what you’ll need:

✅ BMX race bike
✅ Full-face helmet
✅ Gloves & suitable protection
✅ Front plates

Get ready for a full weekend of BMX racing here, with guest coaching, entertainment and activities as we host the 2026 Welsh BMX Championships Open on the 24 & 25 October. 🔥

💣 Saturday kicks things off with our BMX Fest, featuring coaching sessions, open track time, BMX displays, retro bikes, trade stalls, food, music and plenty more. 🤘🏼

🧨 Sunday is all about the Welsh BMX Championships, with a thrilling day of racing! Eligible Welsh riders will be competing for the official Beicio Cymru Welsh Championship jerseys, and the Champs is open to all riders to race for the title. 🤙🏼

⚡️OPEN TRACK with GATES 🏁

🤙🏼 Fancy getting on the BMX Track? Having a go at some gates and some practice in? Regular racer or never tried the BMX start gate before and curious to see what it's all about? All ages and all abilities welcome. 👋🏼

🐦‍🔥Come down and ride the track and gates on your own terms - work on your skills and race starts if you're more experienced, or take your time and have a go if you've never used the gate before, our club welcomes all!
