⭐️ The team of Welsh riders are at Loughborough this weekend for the 2026 School Games BMX Racing National Finals!

We hope you do yourself and Cymru proud, give it all you got, your best shot is what we know you will, have fun, and enjoy the experience. 🤙🏼

🎟️Riders must be competent, if not they can ride around the perimeter on the flat areas to practise and then begin to join on the track

🎩 Gear to wear:
☑️Full face helmet - your own or hire ours
☑️ Gloves - any will do
☑️ Protective elbow and knee pads - if you have them
☑️ long sleeved top and trousers
☠️ no sliders or crocs for footwear
☠️ no stunt-pegs on bikes

📋 Declaration: complete form for yourself or your child online

🥤☕️REFRESHMENTS: available at our Cafe
🚻 TOILETS: no onsite toilets (yet) so please go before you set off, otherwise it’s the bush or nearby supermarket!

🏁 Session types:
☑️ Open Track - ride at any time during the time slot, just turn up.
☑️Coaching - pre-book your place for a structured coaching session (skills & drills)
☑️Training - race day ready session with skills, fitness, laps and gate starts.

Big well done to our riders in the British BMX Championships this weekend! 🏁🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

We had three riders head to BMX Club for their first experience of the Brits and didn’t they do us proud! 🤙🏼🧨

🔥They come home with two reaching their Final and one reaching their Quarter Final, absolutely outstanding for youngsters all under 11 years old, only in their second season, and absolutely embracing the thrill, competition and fun of BMX Racing. 😎

🏆 Amelia reached the Final of the Female 10, and bagged 8th place! Racing well all day grabbing 4th places in all her races, up against 21 riders in her category that’s superb!

🏆 Parker reached the Final of the Male 7, and bagged 5th place! Consistent all day with top 4 placings and his fastest time in the final, with 61 riders in his category that was some racing!

⭐️ Sam reached the quarter final of the Male 10, and bagged a 6th place which gave him 24th place overall. With great efforts and too 6 placings in his races, just missing out in progressing to the semi final, with 78 riders in his category that’s outstanding.

Our club is incredibly chuffed with our small team of riders who headed to the British Champs and have worked hard all season and put everything out there on the weekend, they’ll have had a brilliant experience, gained valuable top end racing against the rest of the British riders, and be hungry for more, which will hopefully rub off on our other riders to head to the Brits next season. 🤙🏼

Coming to the coaching sessions or race today? Please give yourself extra time as there’s reports of road works and traffic delays coming through Maesteg. It may be quicker to come via Port Talbot turn off if you’re heading here via the M4.
