Our Junior members can’t wait to perform for you all in this fun Disney musical which the whole family will enjoy! Just 2 chances to see it on Saturday September 26th!

New Mayor and Deputy Mayor Appointed for Maesteg Town Council.

At the Annual Meeting of Council held on Tuesday 19 May 2026, Councillor Paul Davies was officially inaugurated as Mayor for 2026–27, with Councillor Kyle Duggan inaugurated as Deputy Mayor for 2026–27.

We would like to congratulate both on their appointments and wish them every success in their roles over the coming year.

Absolutely thrilled to have been given the opportunity to attend the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace tomorrow afternoon. 🎉🎉 Such a shame my insanely talented co-director and beautiful friend Sarah isn’t able to share the experience as she’s been to one before. 🥲

However, I am delighted that my amazing, long suffering husband Keith gets to enjoy the day with me and we are both looking forward to celebrating Curtain Up Youth Theatre’s 26 years of achievements in this very special way! Cheers everyone! 🎉👏🍾🥂👑x

Congratulations to our little Toto- Eden Jones who won a Noda award for best performance in a Youth musical tonight at Venue Cymru Llandudno! Congratulations to Scott Holmes who also received a nomination. Very proud of them both. Such a lovely night of celebrations. Thank you Noda! More photos to follow tomorrow! 🎉🎉

Tonight, we attended the High Sheriff of Mid Glamorgan Youth Community Awards at The Coed Y Mwstwr Hotel in Coychurch. We are delighted to announce that we took 2nd place in the Group category and received a cheque for £750.

It was wonderful to see so many inspirational young individuals and groups being recognised for their achievements and outstanding contributions to their communities. Curtain Up were truly honoured and grateful to have been chosen to receive this prestigious award.

Many thanks to Leida Davies for nominating us and to Sharon Dixon, High Sheriff of Mid Glamorgan 2025-26 for her continued support. We would also like to wish John Charles DL, every success in his year as High Sheriff. We look forward to inviting him to future Curtain Up events. 🎉🎉

We were delighted to receive yet another fabulous report for We Will Rock You from The Glamorgan Drama League appraisers (The Glammies) over the weekend. Many thanks for your support. Unfortunately, we can’t share it but we were blown away by their amazing comments. We are still not quite ready to say goodbye to this incredible production but are keeping busy and looking forward to presenting Finding Nemo Jr in September to complete another successful year with the Curtain Up family. 🎉🎉
