All the arrangements for our 26th November 2017 comp are nearly in place, just a few more confirmations to receive and we will start to publish judges, programme of events etc. Yes it is a while away but a wise man once said "if you fail to prepare, then prepare to fail. I know many of the people reading this will be preparing for the UK in Bournemouth and we wish you all well, however, I heard something the other day at an event that upset me, an organiser of social events, publicly announce "We all know the competition world is built on BS" During the last month I have been fortunate enough to judge a major open competition, a competition within a dinner and dance, a supadance event with inter-school events, an inventive dance competition, examine at an excellent social school and run our own assessment day all with people of different ages, levels, races and religions enjoying their dancing - THIS IS GREAT!, we don't need to belittle any other style or level. People will come and go, but the dance is a constant. MK
