Run entirely by experienced volunteers, it is one of the most respected art events in the North West of England and attracts thousands of visitors to Macclesfield. The Art Fair showcases work by a variety of talented local and regional artists, many with national and international reputations. Each exhibiting artist donates a proportion from the sale of their work to East Cheshire Hospice, with so
me also generously donating a piece of artwork. East Cheshire Hospice provides expert and compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses and offers additional support to their families and carers. The services of the Hospice are free and available to all in the catchment area set out below which includes Buxton, the High Peak, Congleton, Knutsford, High Legh, Poynton, Wilmslow and Macclesfield. The government meets less than 20% of the running costs of East Cheshire Hospice and they need to raise more than £6,000 every day of the year to cover expenses. The exhibition showcases a diverse selection of work by talented local and regional artists. We invite artists from outside the area whose work we admire and who are keen to support the charity.
