Summer Days A street party celebrating our local community here in Macclesfield! There will be something for everyone, grown-ups & little ones too!

Join us on Saturday 29th June 12-6pm on Chestergate in Macclesfield (between Churchill Way & Bridge Street). Our fabulous small biz neighbours have come together to bring you a day filled with delicious food & drink, live music & DJ’s & a whole host of exciting activities.

Who’s joining us for A Slice of Summer Days tomorrow? Head to The Depot car park, just off Chestergate West from 12-6pm.

Over the past couple of days we’ve shared some of the tasty food, entertainment & indie market stalls on offer. Today it’s all about hydration!

The forecast is looking juuuust right at the moment; we’ll hopefully see some sunshine & get to enjoy more of this warm weather! 🤞🏻

Chestergate is filled with incredible bars, coffee shops & restaurants to explore. On site The Depot will be bringing the bar, stocked with craft beers, natural wines, cocktails in cans & AF options. They also have squash & water available free of charge, so the little ones don’t miss out!

Cornershop & Leyla’s Dolci- Pasticceria Italiana have you covered for all of your high quality caffeine needs.

It’s not just yummy food, tasty drinks & indie market stalls we’re bringing you on Saturday! We have lots of family friendly fun planned too (the big kids will love getting stuck in as much as the little ones!).

We are incredibly lucky to have Sian Wild Hearts Art Club | Where Tiny Artists Make a Big Scene joining us with her 1261 project ‘Silk, Scribbles & Street Magic’. Visitors of all ages can come along & add to the giant art display. This runs from 12-2pm at the rear of the car park.

Windyway Trust Charity Shops will once again be bringing their wonderful fete games. These are always popular & great fun!

Duncan from Just Drop-In will be there with the Wheel of Fortune Tombola. Prizes to be won, raising money for their incredible charity, supporting young people in our area.

Our favourite local so.ulfulsundays DJ’s & friends will be providing the perfect summer soundtrack. Bringing the feel good vibes for the perfect chilled afternoon!

And before you leave, don’t forget to snap a photo over at our photo stand!

Whether you’re working your way around the town events & stop by for a quick nosey, or pitch up & join us for the whole day, we can’t wait to celebrate 1261 & the Summer Solstice with you.

I’m a day behind already, oops! It’s only 3 days ‘til A Slice of Summer Days & Macclesfield Town Council 1261 Festival.

Today we’re sharing the wonderful indie staple you can shop with on the support.

Come for a browse - there will be incredible artwork, stunning handmade ceramics & wooden homewares, alongside cards & gifts for all occasions. It’s the perfect chance to grab something special for your Dad, grandad, uncle, carer. Whoever you’ll be celebrating this Sunday!

With only 4 days to go ‘til A Slice of Summer Days, it seemed like a pretty good time to share some of the delicious food available on Chestergate.

The Depot will of course be open all day til pm serving incredible seasonal dishes & pizza. Across the car park Cornershop will have sweet treats to perfectly pair with their coffee.

Wander down Chestergate West & you’ll find plenty of other options, many offering takeaway. So you can place your order then bring it back to the car park party to enjoy, whilst you soak up the atmosphere. I’ve tagged a few in the post for a bit of inspiration.

⭐️ VOLUNTEER CALLOUT ⭐️

Can you spare a couple of hours on Saturday 20th June, to help make our event - A Slice of Summer Days - extra special?

We need a few lovely people to join us for a couple of hours to steward the event, being a point of contact for visitors, help keep the space safe, clean & tidy, that sort of thing.

You’ll get to enjoy the atmosphere, fab tunes and have a laugh whilst you do it. There will be some cheeky treats to say ‘thank you’ too!

We’ve got something really special for you all this June! Summer Days Street Party may be taking a break for 2026, but we’ll be bringing you a mini version of the party as part of this year’s 1261 Festival.

Join us on Saturday 20th June for A Slice of Summer Days, where we’ll be taking over the car park at & , just off Chestergate. .ulfulsundays will be soundtracking the day with their impeccable musical tastes, will be providing a bar, enjoy fete games from , interactive arts with , market stalls from some incredible local indie businesses & more. The event runs 12-6pm, The Depot is open until 8pm.

It’s the perfect place to set up base for the day, whilst you make the most of what 1261 has to offer!

Bring your family & friends to enjoy a little taste of what makes makes Summer Days (& Chestergate!) so special. We’ll also be selling Summer Days tote bags (designed by ) to raise funds for next year’s street party!

📣 STREET PARTY NEWS 📣

We know how much you all loved Summer Days last year and we’d hoped to repeat it this year. But sadly we’ve had to postpone. But don’t worry, Summer Days WILL be back in 2027! When you can expect all of the amazing entertainment and atmosphere that you’ve come to expect from us, and much more. ☺️

HOWEVER, mark Saturday 20th June 2026 in your diary, as I’ll be planning a mini event to run alongside this year’s 1261 Festival, who have wasted no time in snapping up the coveted midsummer spot in our absence. It’s going to be a fabulous day! So keep following our page (and ) to keep upto date with what’s going on and where!)

In the meantime, we’re raising money for next year’s event through the sale of our official, limited edition Summer Days tote bags (swipe to see your new favourite tote!). Designed by and printed by and yours for just £5. Available from now! All proceeds go towards our Summer Days 2027 event. 🧡
