Making my own substrates to work on has always been an aim of mine. These delicious natural colours have marks made by using either acid, alkaline or iron which modify the natural dyes. I have started to stitch on the stripes which have been inspired by the silk sample books The workshop run by and .1964 was informative and Inspiring. I intend mounting the finished pieces maybe a fabric book!?
