Hey! I hope the cute pic of Ollo caught your attention for this post 🎃
A lot of people don’t know this but in 2019 I sadly lost my lovely husband to cancer at 21 years old. (He was the brains behind my business name 💕)
Oliver was receiving treatment on the TYA ward at The Christie Manchester for several months and it basically became our second home (we actually got married there ❣️) during our stay we carved a pumpkin and placed it outside Oliver’s room with a battery lit candle in. Many doctors and nurses mentioned this hadn’t happened before and it was nice to see, so every year since then I have donated pumpkins, sweets and little gift bags for 12 rooms/families/patients on the TYA ward.
This year I want to use my small business cheeky links and reach out to all you lovely lot for help!
🎃 I’m looking for gifts (enough for either 6 or all 12 bags) each that’s hopefully priced kindly to my purse so I can fill these gift bags to the brim this year. 🎃
Living on this ward alongside Oliver I got to see it from a different view, little things that you wouldn’t think of were actually really important - delicate creams for skin during chemo, including lip balms / shower gels. Things to keep patients entertained who maybe don’t have the energy to leave bed like colouring books, simple activities, fidgets.
I’m not asking for charity, I’m honoured my small business is able to fund these gifts but money only goes so far and these patients deserve more than a couple bags of sweets, a word search and bed socks.
Plus who doesn’t bloody love small biz gifts over high street tat!?
If you’re able to help, I’d love to buy some lovely gifts from you, thank you!♥️
PS, enjoy the comfort menu music from one of Ols fave games 💕
