I came across needle felting whilst supporting my boyfriend during his stay at The Christie NHS hospital in Manchester, as he underwent treatment for cancer in 2018. Needle felting became a stress reliever and it took me away to a different world, my creations brought happiness to patients and family members and it gave them something to look forward to as i’d stay up all night felting little mice
and bunnies, i also created (and still donate to the ward) Happy Hearts - During our first stay on the Palatine Ward, i met a lot of people going through things no one should ever have to, family members, friends, patients. My Happy Hearts were passed around to bring love and support, a little reminder that we aren’t alone during heartbreaking times. I was lucky enough to marry my lovely Oliver on the 11/02/19 before he went to sleep for the last time on the 02/03/19. Oliver had the most beautiful soul, the kindest heart and the warmest smile. I am the luckiest person to have married him, you have my heart forever Oliver.
