A seam of red, dotted white,
holds her together where language can't,
lilac and lemon, pink and pale,
patches of memory sewn to skin.
Long limbs of water, river-woman,
against the deep indigo night,
not posed, but poured —
bold, unfinished, entirely whole.
This is how she sees herself:
not as outline, but as colour held.
