One of the things that makes the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival so special is the incredible range of museums and institutions that come together to be part of it.

We were delighted to welcome the brilliant team from Portland Museum to this year's festival and in this short video they tell you all about what they were showcasing at the weekend.

It's a wonderful example of the collaborative spirit that makes this event so unique - experts, institutions and enthusiasts all coming together to celebrate the remarkable heritage of our coastline.

We're continuing to look back on what made this year's Lyme Regis Fossil Festival so incredibly special. From fossil lovers who travelled from far and wide to be part of the magic, to the amazing stalls and exhibitors that filled our beautiful town - this is the Fossil Festival seen through the eyes of the people who make it what it is.

📅 Save the Date - Fossil Festival 2027!

We have an important update regarding the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival 2027. Due to venue availability and a clash of dates with other industry events, we have had to make the difficult decision to revise the original festival dates.

The Lyme Regis Fossil Festival 2027 will now take place on:

📅 Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th June 2027

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, particularly for those who had already made plans around the original dates. We wanted to let you know as early as possible so you have plenty of time to update your diaries.

We can't wait to welcome you back to Lyme Regis for another incredible weekend of fossils, discovery and community. See you in June 2027!
