Casting is complete for our spring show and this year we have the gloriously brilliant and very well known ‘Whisky Galore’! An amateur production by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.

We have been brushing up our Scottish accents and even warming our voices up prior to rehearsal.

🎭 Whisky Galore (by the Pallas Players) 🥃
Whisky Galore is a lively stage comedy based on the famous Scottish story of a wartime shipwreck carrying thousands of bottles of whisky.

The play is cleverly framed around the Pallas Players – a fictional all-female touring theatre company in the 1950s – who perform the tale by playing every character, men included!

Expect Highland humour, bold performances, community spirit, and a lot of mischief… all powered by the nation’s favourite dram. 🏴‍☠️🥃

Dates for the diary to come and see this wonderful show are 16th to 18th April 2026 at 7:30pm at Lydbrook Memorial Hall.

We also have fun behind the scenes too! I bet you all wonder what happens in the dressing rooms?!
We drink tea, try not to make too much noise but get our costume and make up on. There are a few members that also have some ‘interesting’ ways of getting the adrenaline pumping too…..

If you think you could have some fun joining us then we would love to see you! We rehearse on a Monday evening in Lydbrook welcome new members whether they want to be on stage or behind the scenes.
