MORGAN HEMPHILL — FOOTWORK & MUSICALITY ✨

And we finished Day 2 by taking our dancers somewhere completely different. 🔥

Footwork & Musicality masterclass challenged dancers to think about movement from the ground up.

Working through footwork, weight placement, rhythm, hip action and coordination, dancers were asked to explore movement patterns that were very different from many of the styles they train in every week.

And that’s important.

Being a versatile dancer isn’t only about being able to perform different choreography, it’s about understanding how your body moves across different styles.

Some of this felt unfamiliar. Some of it really challenged them. But those are often the classes where there is the most to take away.

Rumba, Cha Cha and finishing with Samba.

A completely different way to finish Day 2 and another opportunity to add something new to the dancers’ training toolkit.

JAIDE — STRETCH & TECHNIQUE ✨

Day 2 started by getting right back to the foundations with 🤍

A brilliant all-round Stretch & Technique masterclass, working through a variety of exercises designed to improve flexibility while developing the strength and control needed to use that flexibility safely.

There was a real focus on alignment, placement and understanding how the body should be working, not simply how far you can stretch.

What we particularly loved about this session was how much dancers could take away and continue using within their own training.

Strong foundations. Better understanding. Practical tools to keep progressing.

Such a valuable way to start Day 2.

A STANDOUT MOMENT OF HER OWN. 🤍

We asked Josh to select one dancer to showcase his junior choreography and it was Jon other than .dances15 from . ✨

Taking everything from the workshop and stepping forward alone takes confidence, especially with choreography designed to challenge musicality, strength and expression.

You may have noticed Isha appearing in our Standout moments quite a lot this COLLABORATE… 👀 Different lecturers. Different styles and again and again, she caught their attention.

A very well-deserved Standout recognition from Josh. 🔥

REMY — JUNIOR FREESTYLE ✨

Then it was our Juniors’ turn. 🔥

brought the same focus on drills, detail and quality of movement into his Junior Freestyle masterclass, but with the patience and encouragement needed to make the style accessible to every dancer in the room.

For some, Freestyle is their world.

For others, this was completely new.

And that’s exactly why we wanted it on the COLLABORATE timetable.

Remy took time to explain unfamiliar movements, break down the details and encourage dancers to keep trying — creating a room where being new to the genre never meant being left behind.

DAY 2 - JOSH WATSON — SENIOR LYRICAL ✨

THIS ONE WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL. 🤍

There are some classes where the room just shifts and this was one of them.

brought beautiful, intricate choreography that challenged our Seniors through musicality, strength, control and detail, while still asking them to find freedom and expression within the movement.

The complexity was exactly what we wanted from our Senior sessions — transitions that needed commitment, musical accents that demanded attention and movement that simply couldn’t be danced halfway.

Josh made it look effortless in demonstration. Our seniors quickly discovered just how much work sat underneath it. 🔥

And they absolutely rose to the challenge.

REMY — SENIOR FREESTYLE ✨

Detail. Speed. Precision. 🔥

put our Seniors through an incredible Freestyle masterclass, beginning with drills and combinations before building into choreography that demanded serious attention to detail.

And when we say detail, we mean detail.

Tiny changes in head placement, hand positions, timing and finishing each movement completely — nothing was accidental.

As the choreography developed, so did the complexity and speed, giving our more advanced Freestyle dancers plenty to get their teeth into.

But one of our favourite things about this class was watching Remy work with dancers who had never trained in Freestyle before.

He took the time to break movement down, explain unfamiliar technique and make sure everyone in the room had the opportunity to understand and improve.

A masterclass that challenged at every level.

AND WE END DAY 1 WHERE IT ALL BEGAN… 🤍

With and the very first masterclass of COLLABORATE Summer 2026. 🔥

LUCA DINARDO — PERFORMANCE & ARTISTRY ✨

Luca took dancers back to the technique underneath the movement — plié, hip alignment, foot placement, control and understanding why those details matter.

But alongside all that knowledge came so much encouragement. 🤍

Luca moved around the room giving individual corrections, explanations and reassurance. Nurturing dancers at every level, from our more advanced dancers to those newer to this kind of training.

And for this one, we’ve left the real sound in.

Real instruction. Real corrections. Real conversations. Real encouragement.

Because that’s what a COLLABORATE masterclass really sounds like. 🖤

And that officially completes our Day 1 content. 🔥

We’ll be sharing more from Days 2 + 3 over the coming days — more lecturers, more dancers, more standout moments and plenty of behind-the-scenes from COLLABORATE Summer 2026. 🤍

LUCA DINARDO — JAZZ ✨

After kick starting the day with Jazz & Performance Artistry, switched the energy completely with her Jazz masterclass

Her second session of the day brought a brilliant Jazz piece packed with musicality, detail, performance and control.

The choreography challenged dancers to really listen to the music, commit to the movement and bring personality into the room, not just learn the steps.

Four standout dancers were selected from the session, recognising those who really connected with the style and brought the choreography to life. 🔥
