A brilliant chance to work behind the scenes at The Championships, Wimbledon supporting global broadcast, press and photography teams.

💰 £14.80 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay

🎥 Broadcast Assistant

• Escorting international TV crews around the grounds
• Supporting broadcast centre & commentary box operations
• Working on bookings, reception & accreditation desks
• Runner duties for Wimbledon Broadcast Services galleries
• Ensuring safe and smooth broadcast operations

📅 Contract: 19 June – 15 July (training included)

• Interest in broadcast, media, journalism or photography
• Good knowledge of tennis
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced live event environment

Proud moment for us today. After several months of collaboration, the winning work from our 2024 Thameslink Art Award artist Olana Light is officially installed at Luton Train Station.

Art in public spaces matters - and seeing Olana’s vision celebrated in our town is something special. 🧡

Exploring AI in Creative Practice:

Workshop + Discussion

We have been speaking with Luton’s creative community about AI — and the responses have been clear:
30% say they’re not using it and don’t plan to.
50% are experimenting and keen to learn more.

Wherever you stand, these informal 45-minute sessions are a space to explore, ask questions, and think critically about AI in creative work.

We’ll look at:
– What AI is (and isn’t) in a creative context
– Misconceptions, risks and real-world use
– Copyright-proof, GDPR-compliant and ethical practices
– Opportunities and challenges for creatives in all disciplines

This is part of our ongoing collaboration with Luton.AI and sets the scene for a longer workshop at the University of Bedfordshire later this summer.

The session also falls on the opening day of Bute Street Film and Art Festival, where AI will be explored through a number of festival panels — making this a perfect place to start.
