This year, Lugus Ceramics were delighted to be awarded a grant from BLCF to facilitate a project for Women’s Aid Luton 🧡

We were able to offer a 12-week ceramics course designed specifically for women who have survived domestic abuse. The course provided a safe, creative space for participants to learn hand-built ceramic techniques, express their stories through clay, and build confidence and community.The course was designed to align with Women’s Aid’s mission to empower women from a range of cultures and backgrounds, to reclaim their narratives and rebuild their lives.We’re celebrating the project with a public exhibition to share everyone’s work and journeys, as part of Women’s Aid in Luton’s involvement in raising awareness of the global campaign ‘16 Days of Activism’. The campaign aims to end gender-based violence and runs from 25th November to 10th December. This year’s theme, led by UN Women, is ‘UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls’.
