Waveney Folk Club

Waveney Folk Club https://waveneyfolkclub.co.uk/whatson.php The Club meets at the Gunton Community Hall in Hollingsworth Road, Lowestoft.

Club meetings are every two weeks between 8pm and 11pm. The club books guest singers and groups from all over the country, and has a friendly informal atmosphere that welcomes floor singers, but if you want to sing, please arrive early to avoid disappointment. The cost of admission when a booked guest artist is performing is £6.

Thanks to everyone who came along to support the Singers Night on 14th August.
The next Summer Season Singers Night will be this coming Friday 28th August. This is the last the Summer Singers Nights before the Autumn programme of paid guest artists commences on 11th September. Check out our website for more details…..
So come along to this current Singers Night on Friday 28th August and play your favourite songs and tunes or simply listen to the entertainment on offer. Everyone Welcome.
Time 8pm-11pm.
There will be no door charge tonight just a collection to cover the cost of hiring the hall. So see you there it promises to be another successful evening……

Thanks to everyone who supported the Singers Night on 31st July. Another great night of folk club entertainment.
The next Summer Season Singers Night will be this coming Friday 14th August. Time 8pm-11pm. So come along to play or listen to the variety of songs and tunes that are all part of the folk club Singers Night.
There will be no door charge just a collection to cover the cost of hiring the hall. Everyone Welcome..see you there….

Thanks to everyone who came to support the folk club last Friday 3rd July. It was a brilliant start to the Summer Season Singers Nights, running through July and August.
The next Singers Night will be 17th July. Once again the opportunity for local performers and visitors to entertain with a wide range of songs and tunes.
Some come along, time 8pm-11pm. There will be no door change just a collection to cover the hall hire fee. So come and enjoy a friendly night of music and song at the Waveney Folk Club.

Thank you to everyone who came to the folk club last Friday 19th June. What a brilliant night of entertainment. The acoustic duo Tom & Angelo were amazing they really are a very talented duo.
It was a well attended evening and i would also like to thank Tom & Angelo for agreeing to do this folk club gig.
The next folk club evening will be Friday 3rd July when the Waveney Folk Club starts its summer programme of Singers Nights, going through July and August. This gives local performers and visitors the chance to entertain for the evening . Everyone is welcome and as usual a wide variety of music styles will be on offer. There will be no door charge for the summer Singers Night just a collection to cover the cost of hiring the hall.

Thanks to everyone who came along to the folk club on Friday 5th of June to celebrate the folk clubs 54th birthday. It really was a well attended evening with a good mix of songs and tunes to celebrate this special occasion.
The next folk club evening will be Friday 19th June. Tom & Angelo will be appearing on that evening. Tom & Angelo are a very talented acoustic duo who travel around the country with their special folk music sound . They specialise in folk song covers from the 60’s & 70’s. Songs from Paul Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan ..etc. This is bound to be a wonderful evening of acoustic folk club music.
Time 8pm-11pm. Admission £6.50p. See you there…..

Thanks to everyone who came along to the folk club on Friday to see the ever popular and highly talented Sound Tradition. Yes it was a wonderful evening and Sound Tradition were supported by floor singers who help create that perfect folk club evening.
The next club night will be Friday 5th June. This special evening will be the time to celebrate the Waveney Folk Clubs‘ 54th birthday.
Everyone is invited to come to the this special Singers Night and sing or play their favourite songs or tunes or simply listen to the music on offer. Yes come along and celebrate 54years of folk music at the Waveney Folk Club

Thanks to everyone who came to club on Friday 8th May to see and hear Andy Wall.
It was a really well supported and enjoyable evening of folk music entertainment, Andy Wall was as expected a top class folk artist.
The next club night will be Friday 22nd May when the ever popular and highly talented Sound Tradition will be performing. It is bound to be another great night of folk music entertainment; so make sure you come along to enjoy what promises to be a fabulous folk club evening……See you there…….

Many thanks to everyone who came along to the folk club on Friday 27th March. It was a brilliant evening with the excellent duo John & Pauline Peace entertaining, singing and playing some truly wonderful original songs. Supported by the Waveney floor singers who helped create that unique folk club feeling.
The next club night is Friday 10th April which will be a Singers Night to celebrate Spring-time …..So come along to perform or listen and enjoy an evening of folk music at the friendly Waveney Folk Club. This Friday 27th March John & Pauline Pearce will be appearing at the Waveney Folk Club. Time 8pm-11pm. Admission £6.50p.
