❗️Important Notice❗️

As our regular customers will be aware, we have had a very small booking fee of 25p per ticket since 2018. This fee helps to partially cover the costs we incur from our Box office supplier. When you purchase a ticket for one of our shows, not all of that money comes to us, and the booking fee is one way we are able to make up for the fees that the processing companies charge.

Although we have held out for 8 years, we will now be increasing this fee in order to keep pace with the increasing costs which are being charged to us.

With effect from 1st August 2026 the fee will increase to 50p per ticket.

We understand that price rises like this can be difficult, but also want to give people plenty of time to buy tickets at the current rate. We also want to remind everyone that our ticket prices are already substantially lower than other similar venues.

Thank you so much for supporting community theatre.

With our auditions for 'WYRD SISTERS' fast approaching, we thought we would break down the characters we are are looking to cast.

The Witches of Lancre

Granny (Esme) Weatherwax: The unofficial leader of the coven. She is fiercely moral, pragmatic, intimidating, and relies on "headology" (psychological manipulation) rather than flashy spells.

Nanny (Gita) Ogg: The foil to Granny. She is b***y, cheerful, loves a drink and a good song, and has a massive, chaotic family. Despite her easygoing demeanor, she is a deeply capable and cunning witch.

Magrat Garlick: The novice of the coven. She takes her witchcraft very seriously, wearing symbolic jewelry, collecting herbs, and trying to act like the witches in legends.

The Royals
King Verence I: The rightful King of Lancre who is murdered by his cousin at the beginning of the book. He becomes a frustrated ghost stuck wandering the castle, unable to leave.

Duke Felmet: The usurper and the story's Macbeth-like villain. He is paranoid, twitchy, and terrified that his hands are permanently stained with blood.

Duchess Felmet: The Duke's power-hungry and manipulative wife who is the real brains behind the throne until her madness takes over.

Prince Tomjon: The rightful heir to the throne. He is smuggled away as a baby to the witches, who give him to a traveling troupe of actors. He grows up with no idea of his royal heritage.

The Supporting Cast

Hwel: A melancholic, hunchbacked dwarf playwright who writes plays for the acting troupe. He provides comic relief and acts as the "Horatio" to the ghostly King Verence.

Verence II: The castle fool who falls in love with Magrat Garlick and tries to modernize the royal court.

Greebo: Nanny Ogg’s large, scarred, and notoriously violent cat. He is deeply affectionate toward his owner but a nightmare for everyone else.

The Dimmitt Soldiers: The Captain of the Guard and his men, who are comically incompetent and constantly fail to catch the witches or carry out the Duke's orders.

these are but a few. if you are looking to have to some fun, make sure you come to our auditions.
