Shiver me timbers, it's nearly time to set sail on the brand new 2026 Lowestoft Summer Trail with 30 businesses taking part across the town centre, there's a swashbuckling treasure hunt waiting for you and your little pirates to explore. It's bigger and better than ever before, and the perfect way to spend a summer day out right here on our doorstep.

Marking the start of this year's trail, we're holding a FREE Launch Day event and there's plenty of plunder for all the crew:

The People's Alliance is hosting a free evening this evening of music and poetry to celebrate International Workers Day at the Mayfly, 72 HIGH STREET.

The Sandra Chapman Centre Charity Gala Ball takes place on Saturday 16th May 2026 at the Wherry Hotel, Oulton Broad.

The former Lowestoft Post Office is being brought back to life and you're invited to find out how!

A community engagement event is taking place on Tuesday 28th April at the Britten Room, Lowestoft Library (Clapham Road South, NR32 1DR), with two sessions available: 11am and 1:30pm.

Come along to hear from the project team, including Messums Creative, architects Chaplin Farrant, and Barnes Construction, about how this much-loved listed building is being transformed into a new arts venue for Lowestoft. There'll be presentations, interactive displays, concept designs, and a chance to ask your questions directly.

Local residents and businesses are invited to attend a public information event for the Battery Green project.

Taking place on Monday 20th April 2026, between 9am and 7pm, at The Battery (former Tesco building), 119โ€“125 London Road North, Lowestoft, the event will showcase the emerging designs ahead of the planning application.

Visitors will have the opportunity to:

๐Ÿ’ฌ Speak with the projectโ€™s architect team
๐Ÿ“ Provide valuable feedback on the plans

For those unable to attend, the proposals will be available to view online from 20 April at www.thinklowestoft.co.uk Feedback can also be submitted via email to [email protected] by 1 May 2026.
