Ahoy, Lowestoft! The Summer Trail is BACK and this year, we've gone PIRATE!🏴‍☠️

Shiver me timbers, it's nearly time to set sail on the brand new 2026 Lowestoft Summer Trail with 30 businesses taking part across the town centre, there's a swashbuckling treasure hunt waiting for you and your little pirates to explore. It's bigger and better than ever before, and the perfect way to spend a summer day out right here on our doorstep.

Marking the start of this year's trail, we're holding a FREE Launch Day event and there's plenty of plunder for all the crew:

🎉 Happy 15th Birthday to East Point Sports! 🎉

Fifteen years ago today, East Point Sports Ltd East Point Sports opened its doors on Bevan Street East, and they've been kitting out Lowestoft (and plenty of places beyond) ever since.

First Light Lowestoft invites you all to join in a midsummer celebration on the shimmering sands of Lowestoft's seafront. It is a free, multi-arts festival that welcomes visitors to experience creativity from the first glow of sunrise to the last glimmer of moonlight.

The People's Alliance is hosting a free evening this evening of music and poetry to celebrate International Workers Day at the Mayfly, 72 HIGH STREET.

A night where the power of words and the sounds of music bring people together.

An evening to remember is coming to Oulton Broad! 🥂✨

The Sandra Chapman Centre Charity Gala Ball takes place on Saturday 16th May 2026 at the Wherry Hotel, Oulton Broad.
Black Tie | Arrival by 7pm | Carriages at Midnight

Your ticket includes welcome drinks from 6.30pm, a three course meal, live music from The New Mojos and DJ, plus a magician and fun entertainment throughout the evening.

Something exciting is opening its doors in Lowestoft! ☕

Oliver's Way is a brand new all-inclusive coffee shop with a sensory area designed for people with SEN, and their Grand Opening is just around the corner!

The former Lowestoft Post Office is being brought back to life and you're invited to find out how!

A community engagement event is taking place on Tuesday 28th April at the Britten Room, Lowestoft Library (Clapham Road South, NR32 1DR), with two sessions available: 11am and 1:30pm.

Come along to hear from the project team, including Messums Creative, architects Chaplin Farrant, and Barnes Construction, about how this much-loved listed building is being transformed into a new arts venue for Lowestoft. There'll be presentations, interactive displays, concept designs, and a chance to ask your questions directly.

📢 Public Information Event – Battery Green Project

Local residents and businesses are invited to attend a public information event for the Battery Green project.

Taking place on Monday 20th April 2026, between 9am and 7pm, at The Battery (former Tesco building), 119–125 London Road North, Lowestoft, the event will showcase the emerging designs ahead of the planning application.

Visitors will have the opportunity to:
👀 View the latest proposals
💬 Speak with the project’s architect team
📝 Provide valuable feedback on the plans

For those unable to attend, the proposals will be available to view online from 20 April at www.thinklowestoft.co.uk Feedback can also be submitted via email to [email protected] by 1 May 2026.

All are encouraged to take part and share their views on the future of Battery Green.
