Such a fun little banner shipped off to the USA 💌

Felt background with appliqué letters, embroidered cats & corner patterns with chain stitched wavy lines ❤️

This is my first banner to incorporate any chain stitching so was exciting and also a little daunting but happy with the outcome.

Am I slightly obsessed? Maybe 😶

I genuinely love learning different methods, and new skills. And when clients allow me to use my knowledge to bring a design to life… well that’s just perfect.

The last image shows the original illustration.

With embroidery, it’s really important to remember that the design will have texture, and therefore it’s important to add different stitch directions/angles.

Hopefully these images show that by applying stitches in a specific way, you can make the design ‘pop’ and come to life 😊

This is one of the first large banners I made a couple of years ago, it’s still one of my favorites. And it’s finally off to it’s new home 🥹

I feel like I have developed my skills quite a bit further since then, and I’m loving the idea of producing something like this again but adding chain stitch detailing 🥰
