My friends are literally living their worst nightmare.

A couple of weeks ago baby Kit was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma (childhood cancer). He’s now at hospital awaiting intensive treatment.

Healed Microblading after first session ✨

I trialled some new pigments and techniques recently and got some healed brows back today. I’m really pleased with how these came out! Soft enough not to tell its tattoo but strong enough to do what’s intended - give you constant brows and save you time every morning! 💕

✨ POWDER BROWS ✨

This client wanted brows just like her day-to-day brows but softer. We could have opted with microblading but for her skin type and the fact that she’s used to pencilling them daily anyway - a powder was the right choice!

These will lighten a fair bit between now and her top-up. So we can then decide if she wants to maintain this look, go a bit stronger or keep them nice and light but pop some hair strokes in (to add a bit of texture).

That’s the great thing about PMU!

If you’re on the fence, you really can make your journey a slow one 🐌

With removal options too, there’s more reason to have it now than to carry on wasting your time with daily pencilling.

Let’s talk ALOPECIA!

The main types of alopecia include:

1. Androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss)
2. Alopecia areata (patchy hair loss)
3. Alopecia totalis (complete scalp hair loss)
4. Alopecia universalis (complete body hair loss)
5. Telogen effluvium (temporary hair shedding)
6. Traction alopecia (hair loss - pulling or tension)

It’s such an under researched area and yet it affects so many people. In some cases it is not permanent but for those where it is, it can be a really impactful thing.

Obviously PMU is a good option as it can help to put back those features such as - brows, eyeliner and head hair.

I have had the opportunity to work on some lovely clients with alopecia Universalis and I must say, the skin when hair is no longer present, is like working on the best canvas ever! The needle/microblade glides in perfectly. However, because of lack of structures under the skin, blurring can be more common. So do keep that in mind.

To celebrate being back in the Lowestoft clinic, I’d like to offer a complimentary brow or eyeliner treatment to someone currently dealing with alopecia.
