Little Wild is seeking an experienced, creative puppet maker with a love for the natural world, to design and make a squirrel puppet for our next show which will debut at The Nest, Chichester Festival Theatre in Spring 2027.

We’d love to hear from puppet makers who:
🌳 Have experience designing and making puppets for performance
💡Have a strong understanding of puppet construction, movement and durability
✨Are creatively curious and enjoy experimenting with materials
🌙 Have an interest in nature, storytelling and theatre for young audiences
👏🏻Are collaborative and excited by developing work alongside a small creative team
🌻Share our interest in creating work that supports children’s wellbeing and connection to the natural world

Soo… we’ve been keeping a little secret 🤫🥹

Little Wild Theatre is officially making our second ever show 🥹 After 2.5 years of touring our beloved show “Welcome to the World”, it’s time to make something new. A new story, new adventure and new memories for young people all across the UK to experience, and we couldn’t be more excited 🥰🍃🌳🌻

Today marks the last day of our first ever two week research and development period supported by We Are TrinityBridge with thanks to Chichester Festival Theatre and In Kind support from our friends ETT ☀️✨

These two weeks have allowed us to play, create, and sing in a place that we love more than anything… outside in nature in our local forest. We’ve been able to co-create with children at Parklands Community School and start building brand new puppets in Chichester Festival Theatre workshop making space. We’ve been able to rigorously explore our methodologies and how we can best support young people’s wellbeing and begin building a brand new show 🌳🌻🍃✨

Our brand new show will debut Chichester Festival Theatre in May next year… keep your eyes peeled, we can’t wait to share this one with you 💛🌻🍃

Wow!! What a beautiful weekend spending our THIRD YEAR TOTFest® UK’s Largest Festival for Under 5’s with our brand new sensory den 🌊🌙✨🌻🍃

This sensory den is designed as a quiet, cosy corner available for anyone to join us when the main hustle and bustle of the festival has got a little bit too much! Come on in and play with our undersea puppets made entirely from natural or found objects, chill out to the sound of our sound bowls, explore all of our hand-made sensory offerings AND enjoy one of our pop up shows - designed entirely around the needs of the children in the moment 😍

Thanks so much for having us TOTFest® UK’s Largest Festival for Under 5’s - these festivals really are one of the highlights of our year! 🥰💛🌻

2025, what a year it has been! 🫢🥰❤️

Sending the world’s biggest heartfelt thankyou to everyone in our team who made 2025 magic in every single way - we could not do what we do without you all 💛

2025 has been a huge year of growth for little wild. It started with Georgie and Chloe running the company from the other side of the world in Australia for 6 months (Georgie still is!!) and our wonderful team touring all over the country to library’s, schools and theatres every week! 😍

We curated the first ever sensory den for the largest children’s festival in the UK (and you bet we are coming back bigger and better in 2026 🤪) 🌊🔥🌍🍃

We ran our first ever holiday camps for 5-10 year olds, focused on all things wellbeing and nature and ran our first holiday camp for 11-15 year olds supporting them to start their very own theatre companies!! 🙌🏻🥰

We’ve toured to some wonderful venues .margarets.house and met the most magical audiences ✨

You may have noticed we have gone a little bit quiet over the last few months, but that’s simply because we are working hard behind the scenes to take Little Wild to a whole new level. We can’t wait to share what’s next and wish everyone a very happy and healthy 2026 - see you there! 🤗

Last week we ran our first ever holiday camp for 11-15 years in partnership with ☺️✨

This week saw young people come together, and form their own companies, designing names, logos, slogans and pitching them to Little Wild, Dragons Den Style AND debuting their first ever company performances!

At Little Wild, we now run Holiday Camps 🥹🦋🌳🌞

Last week, we ran our first ever holiday camp for 5-10 years in collaboration with 🥹💛

Think story dens, writing songs, foraging, making our own puppets, exploring things that make us feel safe and putting together an original show full of music, dance and storytelling for parents & carers! 🦋🌞

A week full of pure magic and lots of self belief! 👏🏻
