As part of the Lowestoft Jazz Weekend, Swiss guitar virtuoso 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗶𝗲𝗿 (formerly with The Jeff Beck Band) presents his deeply beautiful take on modern jazz - highly melodic eclecticism via the influences of Latin America, Spain and the Middle East. A sustained technical virtuosity that also packs a heavy emotional punch, is allied to driving improvisation and intelligence by a dynamic band featuring the great 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 (violin), 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗛𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗻 (piano) and 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗶 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁 (percussion).

Friday night at the The Seagull Theatre sees arguably the UK's very best jazz guitarists Jim Mullen and Nigel Price playing Lowestoft; on Saturday night at St Margaret's Church we welcome jazz royalty in the form of vocalist Jacqui Dankworth, daughter of Johnny Dankworth and Cleo Laine, who will be accompanied by Ronnie Scott's MD and resident pianist James Pearson; and on Sunday Night Milestones Jazz Club Lowestoft host the amazing Nicolas Meier World Group; guitarist Nicolas is widely acknowledged as one of the world's most original and unique guitarists and will be promoting the soon to be released album "Elysian Drift".

Lowestoft Jazz Festival is a self-funding event put together by a group of local jazz enthusiasts, we would be grateful for any 'shares' and help in spreading the word!

Vocal thrill-seeker, 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿, will be breakng free of the Lowestoft gigging shackles to perform in Bungay, over 90 minutes (count them) of bluesy grooves, emotional lyricism and lesser known jazz standards.

Joining him will be double bassist 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗻𝗮, guitarist 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗳𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗽𝗼𝘁𝘁, and trumpet player 𝗜𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘇𝗲𝗿,
