🎭 AUDITION OPPORTUNITY – THE FULL MONTY 🎭

We are also looking for an actor (playing age 40+) who is Black or Asian to play the role of Horse. Horse is one of the show's most memorable characters, with plenty of humour, heart, and some fantastic moments throughout the production.

🎭 AUDITION OPPORTUNITY – GAZ IN THE FULL MONTY 🎭

After careful consideration, the directors of the show have decided to re-open casting for the role of Gaz following the auditions yesterday. We will be holding auditions for the role of Gaz this Wednesday at 7:30pm.

If you’re interested in auditioning for Gaz, please let us know before Wednesday. Rehearsals begin the following week, so we’re keen to finalise the cast as soon as possible.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to bring Gaz to life, we’d love to hear from you!

We are also looking for three additional men to join the production in smaller roles. These parts are a great opportunity to get involved in the show and be part of a fantastic cast and production team.

A huge thank you to all of our incredible volunteers at the Louth Riverhead Theatre. We wanted to take some time tonight, during Volunteers Week, to express our gratitude and shine a light on all that you do.

All season, you have tirelessly given your time, one of the most treasured things we possess, and you have selflessly welcomed people into our theatre, entertained them, poured them drinks, assisted with problems, and made sure that the visuals on that stage were phenomenal. You have made the Louth Riverhead Theatre a better place, a home for the community to enjoy the arts, and we seriously could not have done any of this without you.

This society, in the near 100 years it has been around, was built on the foundation of community and giving, and the volunteers of today still embody that very idea. So thank you. And to those that do not know much about our volunteers, allow us to explain.

Whilst our internal season may have come to a close, the work behind the scenes never stops. Running an arts venue as a charity means we rely on our volunteers all year round, not just during show weeks.

There’s still so much happening right now:
The reading committee is already shaping ideas for the 2027/28 season. Backstage creative teams are preparing for the productions coming next year. Auditions are on the horizon, with volunteer panels helping to guide casting decisions. Incoming touring companies still need front of house teams to welcome audiences, sell tickets, and support technical setups. And our marketing team continues working hard to make sure everyone knows what’s on and what’s coming up.

Every single one of these roles is powered by volunteers. Their time, energy, and commitment are what keep the theatre alive and thriving.

We’ve recently received a grant to help us recruit even more wonderful volunteers into our community, and if you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now is a great time to take a look. We’ve put together a blog series all about volunteering from last year here:

🎸✨ AN EVENING WITH MARTY WILDE ✨🎸

One of the true pioneers of British rock ‘n’ roll is coming to the Louth Riverhead Theatre for a very special intimate evening of music, memories and stories.

An Evening with Marty Wilde is a relaxed and personal one-man show featuring live music, rare photographs, career reflections and a special audience Q&A, giving fans the chance to hear directly from a genuine music legend. 🎶

From chart hits like Endless Sleep, Donna and Sea of Love, to writing classics for artists including Kim Wilde, Lulu and Status Quo, Marty Wilde’s career has spanned over eight decades of music history.

Joined on stage by Adrian Nash on keyboards, this promises to be a unique night of songs, stories and nostalgia from one of the last remaining original rock ‘n’ roll stars still performing today.
