Come and join us for a splendid evening of music on 14th March at Roding Valley High School. If you thought all romantic symphonies were written by men, think again! This symphony by Louise Farrenc is a gem. Partnered with the majestic Beethoven violin concerto, it makes for a very special evening.

Woodford Symphony Orchestra is running a string workshop on Sunday 8th Feb 2026 at Wanstead House Community Association Hall in Wanstead from 1.30 - 4.30.
These relaxed Sunday afternoon affairs are an opportunity to have fun playing an assortment of string music, with ample time for tea and home-made scones in the middle. For those feeling brave enough, we often play concertos where you can volunteer to play
the solo.

Lower strings are particularly welcome and yu don't to be a member of the orchestra.

This time we will be playing the Vivaldi Concerto for 4 Violins (RV580), Mozart Divertimento, accompanying a couple of songs
and possibly a selection from the Pirates of Penzance.
