We are delighted to be joining forces with Fearon Hall and several other venues around Loughborough to support Loughborough Pride this year and you can help by making a free felt banner and Marching with us on Saturday the 22nd of August.

We will be hosting two workshops Curious Magpie

Saturday the 1st and Tuesday the 4th of August 6pm-8pm
We have limited spaces so please contact

You can also pick up materials from us if you would prefer to make your banners at home.

We never get the breaks! Sadly rain is forecast tomorrow so the Mindful Garden session from 10am-12noon will be inside. Tomorrow we will be developing our large nature inspired cross stitch using cottons & yarns. Carve some time out for you, enjoy the mindful benefits of simple stitching…😌

Exploring colour, mark making and layers in this week’s Friday art session. Working on revealing/ concealing the layers as we build them up to create dynamic and interesting surfaces. When asked how we know when something is ‘right’ or resolved, one member of the group replied ‘ we feel it in our bodies, it’s difficult to put into words’. So beautiful and true. Thank you everyone for the wonderful work and insights.

Have you garments in your wardrobe which you don’t wear because you aren’t happy with the fit? Too long perhaps? Not a flattering shape? Often a couple of darts or shortening a hem can make all the difference. Come along to our Tuesday sewing group for women and learn how to transform a garment into one which you love to wear.

Sadly more rain is forecast tomorrow during our second Mindful Garden session- so we will be inside nice + cosy. You can still take some time for you and enjoy either large cross stitch or collage. By being creative & using simple processes you can relax, unwind and just enjoy the moment… It’s all about shapes in nature.. See you at 10am-12noon tomorrow morning in the Cafe.
