Hello October 🎃

We're back at the Loughborough Wellbeing Centre tomorrow for a boogie 🕺SEND specific dance classes for ages 3 to 18 years. We have trial spaces available in the following classes:

⭐️ Minis 4pm - 2 Spaces
⭐️ Pros 4:45pm - 5 Spaces
⭐️ Dance 5:40pm - 1 Space

That's all folks 😌

Our community classes in Melton Mowbray came to an end yesterday, after 4 months of fun with Lisa. Don't get me wrong, I love a small class size - it's something i've always cherished about SMS. But sadly our classes were too small to cover costs 😢

Both myself and Lisa are gutted but we know we gave it a good shot and met some lovely families throughout our time. We really appreciate everyone who has attended and had a lil boogie! Seeing the community and friendships build throughout the sessions has made it so worthwhile, please keep in touch 💓

Our work continues around Melton and Leicestershire, you'll still be seeing us pop up in schools and preschools🕺 and Lisa continues to be the party queen leading our adult day service sessions 🥳 Her energy and positive nature makes our classes so much fun, we are so lucky to have her 💙

Weekly classes on a Wednesday in Loughborough remain on the timetable, we'll always be dancing somewhere 🥰

School Provision with Melton & Belvoir SSPAN 🏫

Over the last year, I've been working with Clare to provide accessible, fully inclusive sessions in local schools. Clare was passionate about providing meaningful physical activity to children and young people with SEND hence our partnership was born!

So far we've reached 70 students across 6 schools and our next project begins in October where we will expand this further 😍

As part of our outreach offering, we have limited availability for bookings with Leicestershire schools. We visit specialist provisions, SEND units and mainstream schools to work with small groups of children with additonal needs. We are so lucky to have as our home every wednesday, with a gorgeous studio space that ticks all the boxes!

Spotlight on Dance 💥

Inclusive Dance is for ages 8 to 18 years who can follow simple instruction and dance independently

Our eldest students are developing more skills in this class, with a thorough warm up, safe stretching and corner work, putting their dance techniques into practice. We work on a longer and more complex dance routine over the term, switching up dance styles and music. We love Musical Theatre, Lyrical and Commercial - there's something for everyone!
