I've had a fun week painting a variety of upcycled items for our next pop up.
All the items are painted with Braunston style roses and daisies.
A few nice coloured large tea pots, a lovely pink Le Crueset tea pot, a set of stone salt and pepper pots and a lovely water can.

Keep an eye out for our next pop up, hopefully sort one soon. 😎

My latest commission of a water can has now gone.
I loved the challenge of this one as it wasn't the usual style or font.

The customer wanted steampunk vibes to match their lovely boat with metallic cogs and accents.

It was stripped back to bare metal, gave a nice coat of etch primer with a top coat of green and white enamel paint.
The metal flake paint was a pain to use but ended up looking really nice.

I really enjoyed it and the final look is amazing.

Our dream has finally come true.
My friend Mark at Shardlow Bespoke has fabricated us a nice seat for the back of the boat along with a tow ball and bracket for my bike.
The design is so simple and functional.
I gave the frame and brackets a lick of Craftmaster Midnight Blue paint and applied some Danish oil to the Sapele wooden seat.

It all came up stunning so very pleased.

We're going to enjoy sitting on here while trading at our next market 😀.

NB Wolf Moon is in the boatyard for some work and hull blacking this week.
We're out now living in the motorhome for a week.
Hopefully be back out on the cut later this week. 😎

The lock cottage in Sandiacre is a lovely place to visit, especially when there are cream teas involved. 😋

My personal favourite Sunday of the year is back! 🥰
There’s something rather special about coming together with friends, sharing a cuppa, enjoying a scone (or two!) and raising money for our beautiful Erewash Canal charity.

Just finished my latest painting commission.

The customer asked for 6 boat panels with roses and castles on them.
They wanted day and night scenes with French style castles and Braunston style roses.

I had an up and down relationship with these panels during painting them but I love the outcome.

The are all hand painted on the supplied mdf boards.
Oxford Blue background with Alfa Red borders and gypsy flicks.
Day and night rear doors of the same scene came out nice.

Hope you all like them too, the customer was amazed to see them finished.

Here's to the next commission, a water can is next. 😎

Morning all,
We will be doing a pop up on the Erewash Canal in Sandiacre near this lock cottage on Sunday for father's day.

The cottage is open to visitors for tea and cake for a special day. They also have a lovely quaint little museum to look around.

Pop down and say hello if you're in the area.

Parking is available on Austins Drive, Sandiacre near the A52 Bridge, don't come down towards the cottage as there is no space.

We're back trading again this weekend in Willington near Derby.
The RCTA floating market will be open 10am till 5pm this Saturday and Sunday.
Trading boats will start outside the Dragon pub heading towards Mercia Marina.
There are 13 trading boats with a nice selection of handmade crafts, cake and pizza 🍕.

Parking is available close by too 😎

It is long overdue that we had some new rear door panels, its over 3 years since we bought Wolf Moon.

We finally decided on a continuous theme.
Its taken me ages to design and paint these doors but now they are all finished and in pride of place.

The left door is in memory of our first dog, an English Pointer named Billy. The Crow Moon, the symbol of his birth month.

The right door is for our second dog, a Bracco Italiano named Silvie. The Hunters Moon, the symbol of her month.

I'm so pleased they're now up and how they came out.
