What a magical place Bekonskot Model Village is. Based in the Town of Beaconsfield, it’s a tiny town filled with various miniature scenes, and was established in 1929. Well worth a visit. I was entertaining at a corporate event for Leigh Duncan Solicitors. It was a tad chilly for a summer evening, but everyone was in warm spirits and folks got very involved in the magic. A most busy and awesome day last Saturday with a wedding in the afternoon, and a 70th celebration in the evening. Bit of travel between the two, and centre of Oxford is mad to drive in on a Saturday night. This was where my second event was held, at the Frewan Club. It is a private club in central Oxford. Super staff and lovely ambiance. I entertained Sarah’s guests for her 70th including strolling magic at the Reception, table magic in-between the courses as well as a short stand-up piece for everyone after the dinner. It clearly went well, as I had a Google review yesterday from Sarah, ‘Ian gave a fantastic magical performance at my 70th birthday party. He mixed so well with all the guests doing his magic to small groups, moving around the room and ensuring everyone was enthralled. Ian did an event for us a few years ago and was just as good, twice!’ Make some magical memories with me and get in touch.

I love a bit of fire in my strolling-magic act. It’s a great way to attract attention to the entertainment from across the room. However, it was really necessary at a recent small event in London where many of the guests only spoke a foreign language, so visual magic was really important. The Booker, Cinzia, said in a Google review yesterday ,’ Ian was the highlight of our party. We loved his tricks and warm presence. Definitely recommend him’. Magic can be performed for a large group, for example at a wedding, corporate or Stage event. However it can also be done personally and in a cozy environment for a smaller group of people. I did this at the Beach House restaurant in Beaconsfield on Saturday night for only nine people. Martin booked me for his daughter‘s 25th birthday and I then performed pieces from my strolling, table and Stage act. This way they all got a comprehensive view on three styles of magic. Martin very kindly sent a review on Google, ‘ A brilliant evening and a fantastic surprise act. Ian is really talented magician who left a great impression on all of us definitely recommend.’ I will add he found me through AI. More on that on another post. Get in touch now for your next event.

I attended an Asian Wedding Fair last Sunday at the Crown Paza Hotel in Gerrards Cross. I hadn’t worked at one before, and found it to be a lot of fun, thanks to these two Dhol drummers ( www.dholcollective.com) who provided excellent musical entertainment, as well a very chilled and humorous photographer named Mas (mas.shah.photography) in the booth next to me. Wedding Fairs are the perfect way for couples preparing for their special day to find everything they need under one roof. I provide close-up magic and Emcee options. Get in contact for a quote.

I performed at a delightful birthday celebration on Saturday at Browns Restaurant in Windsor. Thank you to Joan ( see pic) who booked me and was such a lovely host amongst the warm and welcoming guests. She wrote a lovely review yesterday, ‘ Ian entertained our guest at a family birthday party and wowed the crowd!! His friendly engaging manner and expert magic had us all dumbfounded and absolutely thrilled. Highly recommend! ‘ Also Emily, the birthday girl added, ‘He was amazing!!! So perfect for a birthday evening and such a lovely person! Thank you Ian for making my birthday one to remember.’ It was my pleasure.
