Hi everyone!! 👋
I’m very pleased to introduce myself as the new Show Secretary for Loweswater Agricultural Show.
I'm Heather Grisedale, I’m a farmer’s daughter and a very proud Cumbrian. I’ve lived here my whole life - I never found a good enough reason to leave (although I have moved house over 20 times...!). I have a real love for Herdwicks (who doesn’t?!) - I have a couple of my own living on my mum’s farm, blending in with her sheep 🤣
Over the years I’ve been involved in a few organising roles, including Secretary for Cartmel YFC, Treasurer for the NMR Scotland & Northern England Herd Competition, and Service Area Coordinator for the Pirelli International Rally - so I’m quite at home with lists, logistics, and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible!!
I wanted to join the committee because Loweswater is such a lovely, traditional Lake District show - friendly, welcoming, and right at the heart of the local community. I’m genuinely delighted to have the privilege of being your new Show Secretary.
A bit about me - I’m 46, married to Mark, and we have a 5-year-old Border Collie (Dougie) who ensures we get plenty of fresh air walking the fells… whether we planned to or not!!
For my day job I work for a small business who helps other organisations look after their people and customers - basically more organising, listening, and sorting things out!
I’m really looking forward to being part of the team and helping support such a special local show!!
