Hi all regarding the post I have just posted, it come to my attention of the changes Facebook is intended to implement, as an artist I’m not okay for other people using my work without my consent so therefore if this is true about the META rules on Facebook where they can use our photos I want to make them aware that this is not okay. So I have posted this message on my personal as well as my art page to tell them this is not okay. So please don’t take offence.

Don’t forget tomorrow starts the new Facebook (aka...new name, META) rule where they can use your photos. Don't forget the Deadline is today!!! I do not give Facebook or any entities associated with Facebook permission to use my pictures, information, messages or posts, both past and future. With this statement, I give notice to Facebook it is strictly forbidden to disclose, copy, distribute, or take any other action against me based on this profile and/or its contents. The information: The violation of privacy can be punished by law NOTE: Facebook is now a public entity. All members must post a note like this.
If you prefer, you can copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once it will be tacitly allowing the use of your photos, as well as the information contained in the profile status updates.

Hi all, hope everyone is well, a quick up date this account will be Archived/closed as I am going to start a fresh. I realised that throughout the years trying to make my art a successful business it has taken away the joy of painting. So I am taking a step back and just going to enjoy the process of painting and creating art without thinking about the business side of it. Hope this makes sense?

Would like to share some news with you all! First big news I am taking part in my very first Artisan Market on the Sat 20th & Sun 21st August. Joining me are three VERY talented artist! and The second news is that this Instagram page is moving over to .takehart here I will continue uploading my artist journey as a painter and printmaker, I have tried to run two separate businesses one focused on my workshops which was what .takehart primarily did and .surface.art focused on my art however I found juggling both accounts overwhelming. So the product photography is done hope I’m not too discourage by the lighting as I’m a perfectionist and want get the true representative of the colours to the originals 🤞. So I’m fighting my anxiety and doing product photography, I’m such a perfectionist and want the photographs to reflect the true colours of the artwork this is something I find hard to achieve. Then it’s describing my work and finding words to best summarise the artwork. I will get there eventually in the meantime here’s a sneak peak behind the scenes 😊

I enjoyed painting the figure in my sketchbook and felt a little guilty I put in a lot of effort in to a piece that won’t really be seen so I decided to bring her to life and on to canvas. I’ve envision her on a circular canvas too so can’t wait to share her journey 😊
