What a wonderful start to summer here at Zen Kids 🌿

We’ve been having so many exciting adventures — from visits to forest school and nature parks to lots of outdoor fun exploring and learning together. The children have loved every moment of being outside in the sunshine and fresh air 🍃

We’re looking forward to the rest of term with even more fun ahead, including muddy play in our mud kitchen, nature hunts, and trips out

Summer at Zen Kids is all about adventure, creativity, and making special memories together 💕

We had such a wonderful morning at Forest School today 🌿

The children loved pond dipping, searching for wriggly worms, and getting stuck into nature as they explored new plants and bugs. There’s something so special about learning outdoors and following their natural curiosity.

To make it even better, we enjoyed warm porridge and toasted crumpets cooked over the open fire pit - a perfect way to stay cosy while embracing the great outdoors.

Moments like these remind us how valuable it is for children to connect with nature, explore freely, and create joyful memories together 💕🍃

What a fabulous week we’ve had this Easter holidays at Zen Kids! 🌼🐣🍃

We’ve been busy exploring on nature hunts, getting messy and creative in the mud kitchen, and enjoying lots of arts and crafts and painting. We also had lovely visits to the library, plenty of time playing together, and made the most of the beautiful sunshine ☀️

So many smiles, laughs, and special moments shared 💛

We’re already looking forward to the summer holidays and all the exciting adventures we’ll explore together next!

Spring Adventures at Zen Kids Tiney Home 🌸

We’ve been making the most of the beautiful start to spring with a wonderful trip to Attenborough Nature Reserve 🌿

The little ones had such a magical time exploring-carefully searching for bugs under rocks with their magnifying glasses 🐞🔍, spotting birds, swans and ducks from the bird hide 🦢, and even making friends with some lovely local birdwatchers along the way!

We also went on our own mini wildlife adventure, using our fantastic resources from The Woodland Trust. Being members opens up so many amazing opportunities for outdoor learning, and the children loved using the identification packs to discover different plants and wildlife 🌱

Of course, no adventure is complete without a little refuel 🍓🍎-we enjoyed some healthy snacks including fresh apples and strawberries while taking in the fresh air and sunshine.

At Zen Kids, we love creating meaningful, nature-filled experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and connect children with the world around them.

Zen Kids celebrated World Book Day with the wonderful story We’re Going on a Bear Hunt! The little ones loved bringing the story to life outside in the sunshine, exploring sensory and messy play inspired by the different parts of the adventure -swishy grass, squelchy mud, and lots of imagination. At Zen Kids we love creating hands-on experiences that link to our themes and encourage curiosity, creativity, and joyful learning. We’re already looking forward to our next special events! 🌿📚🐻

Spaces Update:
We currently have 1 more full-day space available, and we also offer school pick-up and drop-off from The Grange School in Long Eaton.

A beautiful, cosy winter term here at Zen Kids Childminding 🍂

Inspired by Hygge, we’ve enjoyed slow, meaningful moments together — baking, crafting, storytelling and exploring nature. Our outings to the Attenborough Nature Reserve were a real highlight! 🌿
